Job Summary
We're seeking an adaptable, confident, empathetic Radiology Technologist who is able to provide quality diagnostic imaging for patients and providers at Sanford Health. The Radiologic Technologist is able to work in all atmospheres including clinic, hospital, ED, and OR settings where there are a broad range of fields like fluoroscopy, surgery, orthopedics, general, and emergency for the Radiologist Technologist to work under. One of the characteristics of a Rad Tech at Sanford is the need for precision, which is important in this line of work because the providers need quality imaging to give diagnoses to their patients. Sanford Radiology Technologists employees will have opportunities for advancement into other modalities including CT, MRI, and Mammo.
Responsibilities
* Performs diagnostic imaging examinations on patients ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images
* Ensures accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures according to provider requests
* Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection practices during the imaging process
* Ability to understand and navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system
* Perform basic diagnostic radiology tasks and aware of general radiology protocols
* Perform mobile imaging, electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA procedures)
Qualifications
Completion of an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
Working knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including radiographic positioning, film/image processing, quality
control, and radiation protection is required.
Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
If working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, licensure with the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRT) is required.
If working in South Dakota, consideration will be given to registry eligible candidates obtaining ARRT within six months of hire into position.
In the state of Iowa, all technologists must have a permit to practice through the Iowa Department of Public
Health in order to practice in the state of Iowa
If working at some clinic locations, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification may be required within the first eight weeks of hire into the position.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.
Driver's license may be required, dependent upon department.

Position Summary:
The CT/Radiological Technologist is responsible for the overall operation of the CT scanner including patient care while producing quality CT images and quality control. At times when not needed in CT, the CT/Radiological Technologist will work as a registered staff technologist in general radiology (mammography or bone density, if applicable). This position is also responsible for clinical instruction of radiography students completing rotations in the Radiology Department.
Department Specific Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED - Required
Completion of an Accredited Program- Radiology Technology required
Must be eligible for State of Ohio Licensing process (ARRT required)

Job Summary:
The special procedures technologist operates the CT scanner Radiographic equipment to include CT, X-ray and Fluoroscopic, and makes radiographs of designated portions of the patient's body.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Enter all exam charges into system and/or direct them to Material Services and Pharmacy as appropriate.
Perform high quality CT Radiological examinations on patients of all ages, addressing and responding to their individual needs appropriately.
Work with the Radiologist to learn and follow their preferred imaging protocols, and to provide them with accurate information regarding the patient's symptoms and physical history.
Maintain exam room, equipment, and supplies in an orderly fashion, so as to always be ready for the next patient.
Maintains education, knowledge, and training required to provide up-to-date quality care to patients and to stay current with CEU requirements as required by the ARRT.
Maintain accurate records to meet regulatory and professional standards.
Participate in working all shifts in the department to include weekends and holidays.
Possess the ability to react objectively, using good judgment in crisis situations and on specific issues.
Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Education, Training or Degree Required:

Appropriate CT training
License/Registration/Certification Required: (will be primary source verified by HR)
Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Registry eligible.
Current CPR certification required.
Experience and Skills: (indicate preferred or required)
Two years of training under a qualified and licensed radiologist as stated by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists preferred.
Working knowledge of anatomy; understanding principles of physics and electricity required.
Knowledge of methods of exposure to obtain the required films and be able to set up and operate equipment is required.
Working knowledge of contrast media is required.
Ability to understand variations of anatomical positions such as supine, prone, lateral, and upright and trendelenburg required.
Sufficient knowledge of patient care and sterile techniques to deal with all types of conditions required.
