Position Summary:
This position provides full spectrum administrative support to health care providers within the Defense Health Agency Region Europe (DHARE) area of operations for VH operations, functioning as an interface with VH staff, patients, and providers.
Core Responsibilities
Provides input for weekly report on appointments kept, sleep studies, no shows, rescheduled, changed to TCON, changed to cart or inconclusive.
Trains Medical Service Assistants (MSA) on VH scheduling and care coordination as needed or when requested.
Respects and protects the confidentiality of all clients-related records in accordance with HIPAA and agency.
Coordinate and follow necessary policies.?
Manages VH encounter and scheduling data to analyze and measure site performance and quality assurance. Provides a monthly report to recommend implementation of strategic changes to improve VH delivery.
Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team (Tricare, central appointments, medical service assistants, providers, and presenters) to ensure referrals for VH appointments are booked immediately. Sends confirmation emails to providers, patients, and presenters immediately after the appointment is scheduled.
Prioritizes and responds to emails by COB each day.?Follows up with all other communications in a timely manner.
Coordinates all VH appointments and workflows for DHRE MTF's and manages Asynchronous case load though available platforms.?
Verifies all requested VH appointments can be supported and resourced by all parties involved.
Book VH appointments within the Care Coordination Database.
Sends VH appointment notifications with appropriate documents.
Mitigates Scheduling Conflicts and calendar or care coordination issues.
Reviews the credentialing database to ensure provider is worldwide privileged before scheduling any appointment.??
Works with each clinic's patient presenter to ensure the Clinical Access Stations (CAS) are available for scheduling virtual appointments and immediately closes a CAS when the presenters is unavailable for appointments. Reschedules any appointments scheduled at the start of the day when a presenter is out for an emergency or sickness.?
Maintains an up-to-date list of patient presenter contact information for all DoD and DoS.?
Provides cross coverage for the Virtual Medical Center Europe Virtual Integrated Patient Readiness and Remote Care Clinic's medical readiness appointments and collaborate with San Antonio's Virtual Integrated Patient Readiness and Remote Care Clinic.
Provides assistance to LRMC health services who are delivering VH to patients, by training and working with Medical Service Assistants (MSA) and filling in gaps, only when it does not interfere with VH workflow.??
Requirements:
Qualifications
Two (2) year associate degree or four (4) years of experience as detailed.
Minimum of three (3) years' work or volunteer experience, within the last five (5) years in a medical office or clinical medical environment.
Minimum of two (2) years' work experience with U.S. Military Healthcare System and benefits or civilian managed care medical environment.
At least one (1) year hands-on experience, within the last three (3) years with the Composite Health Care System (CHCS) and Armed Force Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) or current electronic health record system used by DoD.

About this Position:
Our Registered Respiratory Therapists administer all therapeutic, diagnostic, and mechanical modalities under the purview of Respiratory Care Services, for which the Therapist has demonstrated appropriate proficiency, and has been documented as competent to perform these procedures. The MA reports to and is supervised by the Practice Manager.
Evaluation:
The evaluation of work performance will be on-going and will be carried out by the Practice Manager, and will include the specific duties and responsibilities of this position description plus employee attitudes and general working behavior. Formal evaluation will be done yearly with collaboration between the training team and practice managers.
Qualifications:
1. Graduated from an accredited high school or hold GED.
2. Must have graduated from an approved Medical Assistant program.
3. Must work as a care team member to promote quality care and excellence at each patient visit.
4. Sufficient experience to carry out the duties of this position.
5. Must be qualified in Basic Life Support techniques.
6. Ability to relate with warmth and effectiveness to the patients and to the providers of Carevide.

About this Position:

Position Summary
Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to veteran patients with diseases and injuries seeking treatment in the clinic. You will collaborate with the core PACT Team (LPN, RN and Medical Assistant) and expanded PACT Team including family/caregiver, VA, and community-based services involved in developing the patient care plan.
Schedule: Monday though Friday, 8 - 4:30 PM, no nights, no on-call and no weekends!

Core Responsibilities
Actively diagnoses and treats our veterans.
Examines patients for symptoms of organic or congenital disorders, determines nature and extent of injury/disorder, and performs comprehensive physical examinations.
Develops and implements patient management plans and assists in provision of continuity of care.
Orders and performs diagnostic tests.
Prescribes medication and recommends dietary and activity programs as indicated by diagnosis.
Counsel patients on the use of prescription medications, educates patients, assesses mental health issues, and provides routine health maintenance.
Evaluates patients' records from medical providers outside the VA and works with these patients utilizing rules set forth by the VA for co-managed care.
Completes any and all clinical reminders “due” at the time of each patient visit.
Completes the documentation of the medical record within 24 hours of a patient encounter.
Solicits medical management consult or input when appropriate.
Will comply with all VA guidelines in regard to appropriate and timely response to all patient request, alerts and notifications, consults, orders, lab results and diagnostic studies.
Will serve as a collaborative physician to mid-levels where appropriate and needed.
Will comply with all VA guidelines in regard to appropriate and timely clinical documentation, including the completion of all encounters by close of business.
Will address the clinical needs of all walk-in/triage/urgent care patients.
Will comply with all VA and company training requirements.
Will comply with VA requirements related to women's health certification and competencies, as well as any elements needed for maintenance of such certification.
Fulfill compliance requirements of the Office of Inspector General (OIG), Joint Commission (JC), Environment of Care (EOC) oversight, lab compliance and other related items.
Remain focused on achieving excellent clinical outcomes through the specified VA guidelines.
Must provide excellent customer service to each veteran, both in person and over the phone, as well as to fellow colleagues and clinic visitors.
Participate in the clinic's outreach events to help support the clinic's enrollment initiatives.
Support patient enrollment and retention by providing guidance, when necessary, regarding scheduling, follow-up visits or nurse visits.
Embrace and support new initiatives, whether clinical or operational, and execute on key strategic initiatives that drive the success of the Valor business.
Requirements
Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine Degree (MD or DO)
Board Certified/Eligible in Family Practice or Internal Medicine (IM or FM)
Must be credentialed and remain in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
Must comply with and maintain all requirements for a valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment, or in any U.S. state or territory, depending on VA contractual requirements.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (must be renewed periodically as specified by the certifying agency - AHA valid for two years, e.g.).
Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
Excellent computer and EMR skills.
