While its academics are certainly rigorous, Valparaiso University prides itself on offering just as much outside of the classroom as inside. There is also a performing arts complex that hosts and mounts plays, concerts and dance performances, which are attended by the community as well as students. A student choir and an on-campus art museum are other examples of its plentiful arts offerings. Selective in its undergraduate admission process, Valparaiso expects its students to exhibit some amount of academic achievement through grades and test scores.
