ValueBank Texas company history timeline

1972

1972 A new building is constructed on Leopard Street in Corpus Christi, which is still used today.

1973

1973 Texas State Bank changed its name to the International Bank of Corpus Christi to better reflect the potential growth of the port connected business.

1982

1982 A six-story office building was added on to the bank building.

1991

In May 8, 1991 the Texas Department of Banking approved the merger of five separate chartered banks into four branches of The International Bank of Corpus Christi under the new name, The International Bank.

1991 The Texas Legislature passed a new intrastate banking law, which allowed branch banking in Texas.

1999

1999 ValueBank Texas built a branch in the Midtown area of Corpus Christi.

2000

2000 Scott Heitkamp became President of ValueBank Texas and Harlan Heitkamp remained CEO/Chairman of the Board.

2002

2002 Scott Heitkamp became the CEO of ValueBank Texas.

2010

2010 A new branch location in Richmond/Katy area was purchased.

2020

2020 Value Bank Texas welcomed Horseshoe Bay to our family of branches.
