Job Description
Job Title: Valve Technician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Valve Technician to join our team. As a Valve Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of valves used in industrial processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and a keen attention to detail. This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of valves within a variety of industries.
Salary range: Starting pay at $25 / hour and experienced technicians range starting at $30-$35 an hour depending on experince, with benefits that start on the 1st of the month after 30 days of hire ( Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with employer match, life insurance, STD, LTD, and Pet Insurance).
Key Responsibilities:
Valve Installation and Maintenance:
Install, inspect, and maintain a variety of valves, including control valves, safety valves, gate valves, globe valves, and ball valves.
Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal functioning of valves and associated equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot valve-related issues, implementing corrective measures as needed.
Testing and Calibration:
Conduct testing and calibration of valves to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.
Use precision tools and instruments to measure, adjust, and document valve performance.
Implement preventive measures to extend the lifespan and reliability of valves.
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble various valve types (gate, globe, ball, and safety relief) using hand and power tools.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of valve installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Generate reports detailing findings, recommendations, and actions taken during inspections and repairs.

Collaboration and Communication:

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure all repairs and documentation strictly adhere to industry standards, such as the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) or ASME regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in valve technology is a plus.
Proven experience as a Valve Technician or in a related field.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with different types of valves and their applications.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
As an HVAC Apprentice you will assist experienced technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a company that handles service work and site maintenance for national accounts.
Assist in the servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction

Repair relief valves, control valves, on/off valves and pneumatic actuators in FCX actuation facility or customer plant locations.
Mechanically and electrically troubleshoot, inspect, and test valves at specified job worksites. Primary worksites include FCX valve repair centers with occasional customer in-field work sites.
Perform pre-testing, disassembly, cleaning, in process inspection, machining, lapping, painting, assembly, testing, and final inspection on various types of valves and actuation.
Perform testing on certified test equipment, and complete all documentation by working under a QA / QC / National Board VR program.

CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: HVAC JR. MECHANIC
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
As an HVAC Apprentice you will assist experienced technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a company that handles service work and site maintenance for national accounts.
Assist in the servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction
Uses a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at customer's location.
Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.
Inspects vehicles by checking vehicle condition and cleanliness
Maintains vehicles by keeping records of service, scheduling, and complete repairs and maintenance service
Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear. Notifies customer and/or Operations Manager of findings.
Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files
Represents company by serving as a direct customer contact.
Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need
Documents work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration; and maintaining files.
Records parts, material, labor, subs and other cost data per assignment and returns unused resources
Turns in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
Keeps current on all products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service and repair
Read and interpret product specifications
Provides technical support to customers
A strong willingness to learn and a positive attitude are crucial
Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as necessary
Regular travel requirements with some overnight travel, as needed
