POSITION OVERVIEW
Safely and reliably transport and assist students and other school district passengers to and from school, educational or sporting events, community-based programs and other special activities.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct pre-trip and post trip inspections of your assigned vehicle as required.
Route passenger stops efficiently based on customer request and/or charter order.
Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required.
Instruct passenger riders regarding safety.
Drive defensively under varying traffic conditions and inclement weather.
Drive with safety of passengers as first priority.
Establish favorable working relationships with student passengers, parents, school staff, co-workers, and company management.

Responsibilities
Performing vehicle inspections, maintaining cleanliness of bus interiors, fueling of buses, logging trip counts and assisting disabled passengers.
Responsible for being at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
Possess a valid state-issued driver's license to be carried with driver, at all times, while on duty.
Have and maintain an acceptable DMV record.
Courteously assist Customers by answering any questions they may have. If necessary, direct the Customer to the Facility Manager for further assistance.
Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
Communicate debris, water, oil spills and etc. to garage office.
Substitute for Cashiers or Valets, when necessary, if authorized.
Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, thorough knowledge of the major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area of the garage.
Assisting customers with luggage and other traveling items, if applicable (e.g. operating shuttle buses at an airport location).
Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications

Education/Experience Required: Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

PAY RATE: Starting at $20.71/ hour
HIRING BONUS:
New certified drivers will receive a $1,500 sign-on bonus.
The bonus is $500 after hire and a 60-day probation period.
Then $1,000 after one year of employment.
New drivers who must earn driver certification will receive a $750 sign-on bonus.

Job Description
As a Delivery Driver, you'll make people happy every day, satisfying their hunger by bringing them the food they love. You'll drive safely and courteously, delivering food in a timely manner and serving as the friendly, cheerful face of your neighborhood Jimmy John's, a valuable part of the Johnny's Markets family.
What You'll Do
Take phone orders and complete delivery tickets.
Check deliveries for accuracy.
Drive safely and obey all applicable laws.
Deliver fast, fresh, and flawless orders straight to the customer.
Greet all guests in a cheerful, friendly way.
When asked, take phone orders, accurately record orders, add up the bill, take payment, and make change.
When asked, prepare the food, following Jimmy John's guidelines for portion sizes, recipes, and procedures.
Help keep the entire restaurant clean and sanitary.
Dress appropriately for work in a clean uniform.
What You'll Need
Strong communication skills to interact with employees, customers, supervisors, and vendors in a friendly way.
Ability to speak, read and write in English, and interpret operating manuals, instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to accurately count cash and make change.
Ability to stand, walk, reach horizontally and above the shoulder, grasp, push buttons throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs., and frequently carry up to 10 lbs.
Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, current automobile insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
Must have reliable transportation.
