PURPOSE OF POSITION: Safety of the children is your Number One Priority! To better understand duties and responsibilities the bus driver must obtain and become familiar with RCMA Daily Transportation User Guide before transporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following; however, other duties may be assigned.
To ensure safety of the children, must be able to follow established procedures: before leaving center, loading, unloading, loading at the center, bus stop, child safety restraint systems and transporting children with wheelchairs.
Must be able to follow procedures on defensive driving ON and OFF the road.
Must be able to handle all types of emergencies by following established procedures on vehicle failure, bus/van accident and evacuation plan.
Must ensure the vehicle is prepared for daily transportation by knowing: What to carry on the bus, vehicle inspection requirements, and maintenance of vehicles.
Adherence to all RCMA funding and DCF requirements
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Before the first day, the individual must have the following:
A good driving record and be at least 21 years of age to drive an RCMA vehicle.
A valid Floridadriver's license.
An annual physical examination which grants medical approval to drive.
A valid certificate(s) of course completion for first aid training and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) procedures.
Minimum requirements are a Class C CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsement. If the bus to be driven has air breaks, then the minimum requirement is a Class B CDL.
Documentation of passing pre-employment Florida Department of Transportation Drug/Alcohol testing requirements.
Level 2 Background Screening as required by Department of Children and Families.
After the first day, the individual must complete the following:
Transportation Training of 8 hours before transporting children.
Transportation Refresher Training of 4 hours on an annual basis.
Prior to participating in transportation complete option 1 or option 2:

DCF Transportation Safety Course or
Option 2

Job Summary
Responsible for safely driving a tractor trailer combination vehicle in and around the city, state, job sites and Company property; and for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of product. This is in a variety of settings and conditions including uneven ground, and may require intermittent use of a Moffit for safe delivery to customers. A concrete block truck driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the block truck used for delivery of products connected to the Company's block operation.
Job Responsibilities
Safely drive truck to and from destination applying knowledge of DOT driving regulations and area roads
Check loads to ensure product is being hauled in an appropriate and safe manner to adjust to desired level
Verify directions with plant personnel before leaving the plant to ensure delivery to the correct customer and job site
Strive to meet customer expectations without exception and achieve highly positive customer satisfaction survey results consistent with strategic objectives
Develop extensive working relationships with customers, both external and internal, in order to maximize opportunities for CEMEX and to ensure customer needs are addressed
Keep equipment in acceptable condition of cleanliness using approved cleaning materials and supplies
Maintain radio contact with supervisor/dispatch to receive and transmit delivery instructions
Assist other company employees as needed
Complete pre- and post-trip inspections on truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights brakes, gas, fuel, oil, and water
May perform minor roadside repairs, such as installing light bulbs.
Cooperate and promote a team concepts

Must possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL Class A)
