As a transportation coordinator, the role has direct responsibility for coordinating operations related to a discrete program or set of services available through CORE, and as a Lead Reentry Coach may be tasked with providing some direct services and with the supervision of a limited number of Reentry Coaches or Peer Navigators as deemed necessary to achieve CORE's objectives. In Coordinating transportation services for CORE, the Transportation Coordinator is responsible for supporting the reentry population with transportation to and from certain reentry related activities, including driving the CORE operated shuttle, an 8 passenger van, and with assisting individuals in obtaining or maintaining their own personal transportation options. The transportation coordinator, with the assistance of their manager, will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the service quality level of CORE's transportation services. In the absence of their manager, this role may be assigned some level of responsibility for supporting the day-to-day activities at their assigned worksite. The Transportation Coordinator may be called upon to serve as a “problem solver” for clients or partners to improve access to and the effectiveness of reentry services available through CORE. Solid administrative skills including attention to detail, accurate record keeping and an ability to follow multi-faceted processes and procedures; proficient data collection and the effective use of electronic data systems. A skillset that includes the ability to effectively use web-based data systems and commonly used software that includes office applications made by Microsoft, Adobe, and Zoom. This position requires occasional travel to appointments and other Rubicon meetings; if the employee opts to meet these travel requirements by driving, proof of a valid and current driver's license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report are required. A bachelor's degree in Social Services, Psychology, or a related field is required. The requirement for a bachelor's degree may be waived for individuals who possess related California Association for Drug/Alcohol Educators (CAADE) certification, Community Health Outreach Worker certificates, or other relevant human or social services certificates and can demonstrate a minimum of three (3) years working with an adult reentry population; and at least (5) years of qualified work experience will be required of individuals without one of the degrees or certifications described.
