This position is on an as-needed basis and the successful candidate will safely and efficiently transport Wiley College students, faculty, staff, and visitors to and from designated locations, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and college regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Operate college buses and other vehicles as assigned, following prescribed routes and schedules. - Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus, enforcing college rules and regulations. - Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking fluid levels, tire pressure, lights, brakes, and other critical components. Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel. - Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts. - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring the safety of passengers and other road users. - Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing assistance to those with special needs. - Maintain cleanliness of the bus interior and exterior. - Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and passengers. - Respond to emergencies and accidents in a calm and professional manner, following established procedures. - Participate in mandatory training sessions and safety meetings. - Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
