Position Purpose:
Responsible for transporting waste from a Stericycle location or customer location, to another Stericycle transfer location or processing location. All Company assigned vehicles are equipped with camera telematics which include inside and outside cameras. In addition, all vehicles are equipped with ELD (electronic logging device) and GPS (global positioning system).
Key Job Activities:
• Manages assigned routes ensuring that waste is transported in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.
• Responsible for picking up and transporting waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Follows routing software route schedule.
• Plans daily schedule based on Stericycle or customer needs by reviewing daily paperwork, e.g., manifest, route sheets, previous VCR, etc. provided by Transportation Manager/Supervisor or Dispatcher.
• Communicates any issues to Transportation Manager/Supervisor and/or Dispatcher for resolution.
• Ensures load is secured and placarded if required prior to operating vehicle on public highway.
• May require loading and securing material or unloading truck at various customer sites.
• Must be able to push/pull light or heavy objects.
• Ensures that assigned paperwork is completed legibly, neatly, accurately, and completely and returned to Transportation Manager/Supervisor or Dispatcher, at the time of debriefing, for processing.
• Communicates with Stericycle Transportation Manager/Supervisor and/or Dispatcher regarding any change to pickups.
• Driver is expected to provide the highest level of customer service at all times.
• Reports any problems/issues with accounts to the Transportation Manager/Supervisor and/or Dispatcher before the close of business each day.
• Performs a documented pre-trip inspection on vehicles prior to leaving yard to commence route.
• Performs a documented post-trip inspection on vehicles prior to being debriefed for the day.
• Reports any maintenance problems to Transportation Manager/Supervisor and/or Dispatcher for follow-up.
• Ensures all defects have been corrected prior to operating the vehicles again.
• Use of ELD (electronic logging device) and Geotab to log hours per DOT guidelines.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Education: Preferred Education: in High School or Equivalent Experience:
• 1+ Years of Experience driving tractor trailer required. Previous route experience a plus.
• Maintains current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), with an excellent driving record.
• Doubles, Triples Endorsements a plus.
• Demonstrates ability to read a map and follow turn by turn direction on electronic devices.
• Demonstrates general computer skills and knowledge of internet.
• May require mandatory immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements.
• Must work safely and carefully to prevent injury to self and others while driving, loading, and unloading vehicle.
• Stericycle welcomes non-native English speakers, as long as drivers can read and speak English sufficiently to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records as required by federal regulation.

The Van Driver at CRISTA Senior Living will provide safe, reliable and courteous transportation for Senior Living residents by using company-provided sedans or vans. Promote the joy, purpose and well-being of a community of approximately 700 residents. Support the overall mission by assisting residents maintain independence and access to medical appointments, shopping and social or recreational outings. Ensure each resident is treated with professionalism and care, offering physical assistance as needed. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform basic vehicle inspections, and report mechanical issues to ensure safety and compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

DUTIESResident Interaction and Customer Service:
Greet residents with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Pick residents up at designated locations and assist them on/off vehicle, offering an arm for additional support.
Escort residents to the entrances of their destinations (and beyond if the resident is unsteady or unable to navigate).
Offer and provide assistance with lifting grocery bags or packages if requested or needed by residents.
Report all behavior changes in residents to Transportation Mgr.
Cleanliness and Maintenance:
Inspect both the interior and exterior of the vehicle before and during your shift to ensure cleanliness and safety.
Keep vehicles clean at all times (I.E.: no trash, smudges, or clutter).
Follow van policies (I.E.: no snacking in fleet vehicles) and clean protocols provided by the Manager or Lead and use waiting time between trips to maintain vehicle cleanliness.
Examine engine oil, coolant, windshield washer fluids and fuel before their first trip. Ask Manager or Lead for standard operating procedures.
Notify the Manager or Lead immediately if you notice any issues with your assigned fleet vehicle. For example:
A malfunctioning turn signal.
Unusual noises such as squeaks, rattles, or growls.
The steering wheel pulling to one side when braking.
Rough or delayed transmission shifting.
Be aware of all mechanical issues, even if minor ones and speak with the Manager or Lead to determine if it is safe to continue a route.
Fill out vehicle inspection forms and submit them to the Manager or Lead upon return to the office.
Ensure all vehicle accessories are present, properly stored and in good working condition (I.E.: Fire extinguishers, highway warning kits and first aid kits).
Transportation:
Perform safe, efficient transportation via sedan or van to medical appointments, errands and to social/recreational outings that residents have scheduled with the CSL Transportation office.
Teamwork and Professional Development:
Participate in continuing education programs and team meetings when possible.
Work collaboratively with coworkers, with residents, and with other departments of CRISTA Ministries, as requested by Mgr. or Lead.
Administrative Management:
Maintain required statistical information by keeping a daily transportation log and working with Transportation Supervisor to establish data gathering methods for program evaluation.
Obtain approval from the CSL Transportation Manager or Lead before using a P-card and upload all receipts to [email protected] as soon as possible.

The career opportunity:
The DART Transit Supervisor oversees a team of 10 - 20 DART Bus Drivers in King County, a diverse staff serving diverse populations. The DART Transit Supervisor leads the problem-solving, field training, troubleshooting, performance management, employee relations, and monitoring of drivers; may also be responsible for driver scheduling or recruiting/hiring.

Minimum of seven consecutive years of licensed driving experience within the United States.
Valid CDL with passenger endorsement, or the ability to obtain one within the first 60 days (paid training available).
Valid Medical Examiners Certificate or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
Prior supervisory experience with the ability to effectively manage diverse work styles and personalities.
Prior experience providing transportation services to the public preferred.
CPR/First Aid Certificate preferred.
Defensive Driving Certificate preferred.
This position is a Service Critical Employee with specific attendance requirements. Because of the critical nature of this role to Hopelink operations, it is important that you are able to:
Report to the worksite during your scheduled hours, regardless of weather conditions or other emergencies.
Manage your own transportation needs in adverse weather, including possible limitations to public transportation options.
Have a specific plan to address any other possible attendance barriers that arise during adverse weather and other emergencies, such as disrupted utilities or public services, road closures, school closures, etc.
**Due to Federal Regulations, this position is considered a Safety Sensitive Position, therefore employees are required to undergo a full criminal background check and pre-employment Federal DOT drug screening, and are subject to random screenings, which include THC among other restricted substances.
Examples of what you will be doing:
Oversee safety and procedural compliance
Provide in-the-field assistance and communicate driver concerns
Monitor service areas and routes
Ensure that the hiring, training and performance review processes produced desired strategic results
Conduct accident/incident investigations in the field
Operate DART vehicles as needed to cover routes when drivers are absent

Compensation: $30/hour DOE
Up to 10 paid vacation and sick days annually and 10 paid holidays,
