Classified Support Staff/Bus Driver-Custodian Date Available: TBD Closing Date: Until filled Description: Bus Driver-Custodian Night *A candidate without a valid Nevada Commercial Driver License, including Passenger and School Bus endorsements, will be hired as a substitute and provided six months to complete training and obtain the required license. Under general direction, performs custodial functions required to maintain assigned site buildings in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition; arrange and maintain the physical environment required for activities held at the site. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of Essential Duties and Responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be supplemented with other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, which does not conflict with the Master Agreement between NCSD and NCSSO. Obeys all traffic laws. Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses. Maintains student discipline on the bus. Keeps assigned bus cleaned. This shall include all vision mirrors, windows and the inside of the bus. Adheres to route, stops and schedule as determined by the immediate supervisor. Reports all accidents and completes the required reports. Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or safety problems. Exercises responsible leadership when on out-of-District school trips. Transports only authorized students and District Employees. Performs the daily pre-trip safety inspection of the bus. Enforces District bus safety rules. Sweeps floors and vacuums carpets. Cleans, dusts, and polishes all woodwork, furniture, glass, lights, light fixtures, interior walls, metalwork, and other items. Empties and cleans all waste receptacles. Cleans restroom walls, ceilings, floors, partitions, and lavatory fixtures. Cleans whiteboards and trays. Cleans and disinfects all drinking fountains and drains. Moves and arranges furniture and equipment for special events and meetings. Scrubs, disinfects, seals and polishes floors. Shampoos carpets, performs periodic spot cleaning and deep steam cleaning. Performs light maintenance repairs. Coordinates ordering custodial supplies and maintenance repairs with day custodian. Performs security check of interior and exterior of facility to ensure all doors and gates are locked and secured. Operates power sweepers, polishers, and other power equipment. Removes spots and graffiti from floors, walls, woodwork, furniture, carpets, and fixtures. May be required to move, assemble or disassemble furniture, equipment or other items, or to assist maintenance or other departments in an emergency or as the need arises. Desert Ready Mix is a well-established company in Arizona. We have been open since 2014. We are looking for Drivers for our Nevada location. At Desert Ready Mix, LLC we are always looking for drivers with great work ethic and friendly attitude. Our drivers are required to have a valid Commercial Driver License (CDL), Class A or Class B. Ready-Mix drivers spend a good deal of the day engaging with customers in operating the drum to discharge the mixed concrete. On a typical day, a ready-mix driver may deliver multiple loads of concrete, this would mean half the time driving and the other half doing a variety of other activities (truck preparation, drum operation, etc.). Job Responsibilities: Maintain vehicle in a clean, organized, and safe fashion. Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and Company regulations. Wear all PPE (hard hat, vest, safety glasses, work boots, etc.). Perform walk around inspection of assigned equipment (check oil, water, fuel, lights, tires, etc.).
