Must successfully complete a school bus driver course and hold a current valid Oklahoma School Bus Driver's Certificate as required by the Oklahoma State Department of Education and a valid current Commercial Driver's License, air brake endorsement preferred, from the State of Oklahoma. Annual health certificate signed by a physician licensed in Oklahoma attesting that the physician has examined the driver and that the driver has no sign or symptoms of ill health, and is otherwise, from the observation of such physician, physically and mentally capable of safely operating a school bus. Subject to regular random drug/alcohol/DOT physical testing as well as post-accident testing when federal or state law, or board policy requires. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
