Responsibilities
Lead and grow a dynamic, market-focused team of design and planning professionals.
Set and execute the strategic direction for institutional growth across NY/NJ.
Build and manage strong client relationships with higher education, healthcare, and public institutions.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities; lead strategic go/no-go and partnering decisions.
Serve as Principal-in-Charge or Senior Project Manager on select institutional projects.
Partner with marketing to strengthen regional visibility and promote VHB's institutional expertise.
Track business goals, project milestones, and performance metrics.
Represent VHB at key industry events and client meetings throughout the NY/NJ region.
Requirements
15+ years of experience in campus planning, civil/infrastructure engineering, capital program management or related fields/roles
Proven success generating new business and leading winning pursuits.
Established relationships in the NY/NJ higher education and/or healthcare markets.
Strong leadership experience managing and developing multi-disciplined teams.
Strategic thinker with strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation or Environmental Planning, or related field (Master's preferred).
PE license (NY/NJ) or AICP preferred.
Must be able to travel regionally to client sites and VHB offices.
Role requires approximately 50% in-office presence (when not traveling for client work).
The base salary range for this position is $200,000-$285,000. This offer is determined based on a number of job-related factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, and geographic location.

**This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:**
+ Review and develop schedules for the construction of highways, bridges, and railways
+ Provide expert review and analysis of Contractor Critical Path Method (CPM) Progress Schedules
+ Provide expert review and analysis of construction schedule critical path and logic changes and milestone status
+ Analyze and prepare schedule fragnets and delay event timelines for construction project delays
+ Analyze, report on, recommend mitigation options and recommend responsibility for construction project delays
+ Develop and/or review Suggested Preliminary Construction Schedules during the final design stage based on the available plans, specifications and estimate provided by the project designer
+ Update policies, procedures, specifications of guidance related to construction scheduling and construction project management
+ Will use Oracle Primavera P6
+ Lead Scheduler on major construction projects
+ Train other scheduling personnel in CPM and scheduling practices
+ Analyze schedule data to identify key project issues
+ Support the development of plans and schedules for proposals
+ Assist in leading junior staff through assignment tasks
+ Assist in tracking corrective actions
+ Assist in the coordination of schedule input from all parts of the organization

+ Assist in the development and maintenance of WBS and helps insure that project coding is effectively used for all cornerstone applications
+ Use drawings and specifications for schedule development
+ Develop CPM schedule logic for engineering, procurement and construction as well as command of cornerstone scheduling system
+ Resource load schedule and perform remedial schedule risk analysis
+ Responsible for assembling data for schedule updating
+ Responsible for construction contracting and the scheduling implications of contract terms
+ Measure progress and reviews invoices of contractors
+ Scope control and change management and incorporate directed changes into schedule baseline
+ Responsible for some elements of baseline schedule and associated maintenance
+ Basic cost analysis and forecasting as it relates to planning and scheduling
+ Assists in performance measurement and associated schedule trends
+ Supports various levels of project reporting
+ Participates in and at times leads project planning and scheduling review meetings
+ Assists in procedure development and implementation

**AECOM** is seeking **Safety, Health & Environmental Site Officer II** based in New York, New York office.
**This is full-time onsite position for an on-going project in Staten Island, NY.**
**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**
+ Implementing the requirements of AECOM's Construction Manager's (CM) EHS Management Plan (EHSMP) and Environmental Health and Safety Plan (EHASP).
+ Support the CM in preparation of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) in accordance with Client standards.
+ Support the CM in conducting various training for CM staff including new employee orientations, visitor orientations and Emergency Action Plan training.
+ Review all EHS related submittals by the Contractors, including, but not limited to, EHASPs, JHAs, monthly reports, asbestos/lead/mercury/PCB management and sampling plans, waste management plans, soil re-use, hazardous waste contingency plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and Stormwater Pollution Prevent Plans (SWPPP) to verify comprehensive oversight of all site activities.
+ Facilitate weekly EHS meetings with the Contractor's EHS Representative (EHSR), and other project management personnel as appropriate, to ascertain and discuss upcoming construction related activity EHS activities.
+ Conduct frequent construction site visits.
+ Track and monitor the Contractor's compliance with EHASP(s) and JHA(s).
+ Track and monitor all site EHSRs' performance including, but not limited to, reviewing the EHSR's daily reports and whether EHS issues are being adequately addressed.
+ Perform and submit daily reports of the Contractors' Work areas and document non-compliance with the Contractor's EHASPs and JHAs.
+ Review Contractor's incident reports for adequacy, participate in meetings related to construction related incidents, and verify all necessary Contractor corrective actions are implemented.
+ Submit EHS monthly status reports and metrics. Prepare monthly trending analysis of Contractor EHS performance.
+ Oversee Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) and drills for the site in coordination with Client staff.

As a people manager, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for mentoring and guiding the federal design team to success. **Job Description**
AECOM is seeking an experienced Environmental Technician to support environmental remediation, demolition, and site restoration projects for a variety of clients. The Environment Technician will provide daily on-site support for construction, excavation, decommissioning, health and safety, and subcontractor operations across active project sites.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in supervising union and non-union labor, managing heavy equipment operations, and directing field crews on complex environmental cleanup projects. Experience with Superfund, or industrial decommissioning is strongly preferred; however, any experience within Environmental Remediation fieldwork will be prioritized.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
+ Site Management & Field Supervision
+ Lead daily field operations for remediation, demolition, excavation, cap placement, trenching, and site restoration activities.
+ Supervise union and non-union equipment operators, laborers, teamsters, drillers, and subcontractors on active project sites.
+ Coordinate work sequencing, equipment use, contractor activities, and daily production goals to maintain schedule and quality.
+ Drive strict adherence to work plans, construction specifications, and environmental controls.
+ Environmental & Technical Field Oversight
+ Oversee pump-and-treat system operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization.
+ Manage vapor intrusion mitigation systems at residential locations, ensuring compliance with design and regulatory requirements.
+ Direct general groundwater sampling programs and support RCRA-related activities, including waste characterization and reporting.
+ Perform miscellaneous maintenance tasks aligned with remediation systems and site infrastructure.
+ Support waste handling, packaging, and disposal logistics, including compliance with regulatory requirements and disposal site criteria.
+ Monitor field conditions, contamination controls, dust suppression, stormwater BMPs, and equipment decontamination zones.
+ Health & Safety Leadership
+ Serve as an on-site safety representative, enforcing AECOM safety policies and project-specific Health and Safety Plans.
+ Correct unsafe behaviors and conditions immediately and escalate issues to project management when needed.
+ Maintain compliance with applicable federal (OSHA) and/or state regulatory requirements, as appropriate for the specific job.
+ Project Planning & Documentation
+ Support development and execution of Field Sampling Plans, QAPPs, SSHPs, and project work plans.
+ Maintain daily logs, production reports, safety records, equipment logs, and subcontractor documentation.
+ Assist in preparing progress reports, regulatory documentation, and closure reports.
+ Coordinate with regulatory inspectors and client representatives during field activities.
+ Coordination & Communication
+ Serve as the primary on-site point of contact between subcontractors, project managers, safety staff, and client representatives.
+ Participate in project scheduling, constructability reviews, and planning of field mobilizations/demobilizations.
+ Communicate daily progress, changes, and issues to project management and regulatory partners.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements**
+ HS Diploma and 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
+ Due to the nature of the role US citizenship is required, sponsorship for this role will not be available.
+ Successful candidate will have to pass client required drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle records check.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ 10 years of experience in remediation (O and M experience) or site supervision.
+ CPR/First Aid certification.
+ Experience working with union labor forces and complex multi-stakeholder field sites.
+ Strong background supervising field crews, subcontractors, and heavy equipment operations.
+ Experience on EPA Superfund, DOD, DOE, NRC, or USACE-managed remediation projects.
+ OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.
+ Strong understanding of field safety, heavy construction techniques, and environmental controls.
+ Ability to create clear daily logs, field reports, and documentation.
**Additional Information**
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $28 to $38.
