POSITION DESCRIPTION: Pyxera Global invites highly motivated recently graduated undergraduates to apply for a paid internship supporting our Programs Department. This is a hybrid role, requiring 20-40 hours per week with a combination of in-office time at our Washington, DC headquarters and remote.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The intern will be responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of diverse program activities as well as supporting specific department and unit initiatives or projects. They may also be asked to assist in business development activities, including monitoring opportunities across client/funder organizations and conducting research.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Conduct country- or sector-specific research and assist in identifying local partner organizations
Draft and update program materials, including handbooks, onboarding guides, and training decks

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is a non-profit, bipartisan public policy organization established in 1962 to provide strategic insights and practical policy solutions to decision makers concerned with global security and prosperity. Over the years, it has grown to be one of the largest organizations of its kind, with a staff of some 250 employees, including more than 120 analysts working to address the changing dynamics of international security across the globe.
CSIS is seeking two full-time interns to join the Project on Prosperity and Development (PPD) and the Sustainable Development and Resilience Initiative (SDRI) starting in early January 2026 in-person at CSIS. Internships are seasonal and typically last 4 months with the possibility of extension up to 6 months at the discretion of the program. Applicants should indicate in their cover letter their available start and end dates. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States for the duration of the position.
Interns are primarily responsible for conducting research on international development, development finance, U.S. foreign policy, international organizations, private sector engagement on development, trade issues, climate adaptation investment, and more. Interns also assist with social media efforts, assist in event planning and management, and have the option to write a blog post to be published on CSIS Development Dispatches. Because of the fast-paced work environment, interns should be motivated self-starters with a strong writing background and excellent attention to detail. Candidates should be expected to be at their professional best through the course of this internship and be prepared to work on a diverse set of research topics. The interns will report to the Program Manager and Research Associate. The intern will be paid at an hourly rate.

Your Impact & Opportunity
* You will provide support to Claims leaders from a diverse multi-class portfolio as they provide precise responses to the market and ensure accurate reserving throughout the claims adjustment lifecycle.
* Participate in meetings and work on presentations related to high value and complex losses alongside experienced claims adjusters.
* Participate in client visits and audits to develop keen investigative skills.
* You will collaborate on projects involving research on industry data sources.

The salary for this position is $800 per week. The offered rate of compensation is based on work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits for the duration of the internship program, including health insurance coverage, 401k match, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
What You Bring: Experience & Qualifications
* You are a junior pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited college/university, majoring in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Risk Management, or similar.
* You are a highly ambitious team player with excellent communication, analytical, critical thinking, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office software, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Leadership or involvement in extracurricular activities, campus clubs/organizations, your community, etc.
* Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
* Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment while managing multiple projects and priorities.

Minimum Qualifications:
