We are looking for a new addition to our Mid-Atlantic Regional Marketing Team! This position is hybrid out of our Virginia, Georgia or North Carolina offices with the expectations to work at least two days in the office.
The Senior Marketing Specialist leads, develops, writes, and produces complex proposals and other critical marketing deliverables with direct support from marketing leaders. The Senior Marketing Specialist helps to support and facilitate overall pursuit strategy discussion and formulation and content development.
Expect opportunity and active participation in marketing activities across the entire Client-Visibility-Pursuit (C-V-P) lifecycle, with primary focus on pursuits. You will be actively trained and mentored on VHB's programs and marketing's role across the CVP lifecycle. Specifically:
Clients
Actively participates in Client Focus Team and/or market meetings
Participates in Client Mapping and Client SWOT analysis. May facilitate and lead annual Client Mapping process
In partnership with CRM Specialist and with the understanding of the Region's pursuit Pipeline, may help to manage active updating of opportunities on the Pipeline
Assists with the development and creation of the value proposition and pre-sell pieces
Visibility
Coordinates and supports the development of pre- and post-award visibility opportunities for assigned pursuits in collaboration with Regional Communications Specialist
Assists with the creation and communication of overall client and market visibility opportunities that help promote the organization's thought leadership
Proposals
Takes the lead role in the development of the region's complex pursuits, with marketing leadership/management oversight, as needed
Participates in and/or facilitates pursuit SWOT analyses. Identifies differentiators and how clients perceive the organization and its competitors
Communicates win themes and approaches to win. Independently weaves win themes into all proposal sections using writing and editing skills. Partners with graphic designer for visuals that align to messages
Recognizes the need for teaming partners or subconsultants and identifies potential suitable partners
Serves as an active strategist and collaborative partner with technical staff
Works directly with senior-level technical staff to prepare proposal materials. Ensures all sections of the proposal include differentiating win themes and that sections are compliant, timely, and well written
Organizes and coaches technical staff on pursuit presentations. May facilitate story boarding sessions, as requested
Works with graphic design staff to plan and produce materials. Ensures all materials are effectively communicating the strategic vision identified for a given pursuit and align with the organization's Brand
Serves as a mentor to less experienced marketing staff. Serves as a peer QA/QC of proposals
Lead capture planning discussions with technical team members in advance of an active procurement
Independently writes sections that require minor editing
Minimum Qualifications
4-6 years of proposal, writing, or marketing experience in an AEC industry
BA in Marketing, English, Communications, or related discipline
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite programs (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, InDesign, Photoshop) preferred
Highly detail oriented. Demonstrated commitment to quality. Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills
Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects

Job Description
AECOM has a position available for a Senior Transportation Engineer in our Virginia Beach, Virginia office. The growing transportation department for roadway and structural design is looking for an experienced individual who has a strong background with various transportation projects. Projects may include city and county localities, state transportation agencies and federal agencies such as USACE and NAVFAC.
In this role the Civil Engineer will perform transportation engineering tasks including design of highways, streets, lighting, ITS, traffic signals, signing, pavement markings, right of way, traffic control plans, specifications, estimates, public involvement, fieldwork, construction phase services, transportation systems, drainage structures, surface hydrology, sewers, tunnels and bridge structures. Minimum Requirements
BA/BS + 6 years of recent, relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Current Virginia Professional Engineer license
Previous staff management experience
Experience planning, design, inspection and modification phases of projects.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite of applications, Bentley MicroStation, Openroads and ProjectWise software applications.
Experience with AASHTO and VDOT transportation design policies and guidelines.
Valid US Driver's License required, as a condition of employment must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.

AECOM is seeking a Geologist II to be based in our Glen Allen, VA OR Virginia Beach, VA office. This position will support our Remediation team within our Environment business line. This position is expected to begin immediately.
The Geologist III will serve as a team member in the office and the field, assisting project and program management with design and implementation of soil, groundwater, sediment, soil gas, and surface water investigative and remediation programs, data analysis, and report preparation.

Plans drinking water utility systems including supply, transmission, pumping, storage, and distribution
Work on Water System Hydraulic Modeling projects primarily using skills related to AutoDesk Innovyze and Bentley software, ESRI ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, etc.
Specializes in all aspects of modeling, including building water system hydraulic models from plans or GIS data, calibrating/validating hydraulic models, conducting simulations, interpreting results, analyzing or evaluating the hydraulic models for various studies, and preparing technical reports on hydraulic modeling work performed.
Present technical findings to clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholder groups and provide training when needed.
Lead a team of Level 1 and Level 2 hydraulic modelers and train them with hydraulic modeling software and related skills.

Utilize basic engineering principles, judgment, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope.
Gather and correlate primary engineering data using established procedures and practices.

Minimum Requirements

GIS experience and demonstrated knowledge of working through the GIS platform.
Ability to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time for occasional field investigations.
U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
Preferred Qualifications
6 years of related experience or demonstrated experience.
Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive.

VHB's Virginia team is seeking a Senior Structural Project Manager to expand our structural practice/capabilities across Virginia. In this role, you'll be an integral part of the growing our market prominence, leading bridge projects as well as mentoring our transportation team.

Responsibilities
* Project management/task management
* Prepares proposals and/or contracts
* Participates in project decisions regarding technical approach, costs, and scheduling
* Directs and mentors team members in the development of design plans, technical oversight, specifications, design calculations, load ratings, cost estimates, reports, final bid packages, etc.
* Performs quality reviews of team members work for accuracy and to ensure that the production of plans, specifications, reports, and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements
Skills and Attributes
* Strong project management skills
* Motivated to coach and mentor team members
* Extensive knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in structural engineering
* Demonstrated excellence in verbal presentations and technical writing
* Team oriented with strong capability to work independently
* Robust technical and critical thinking skills
* Detail oriented and quality focused
Qualifications
* 15+ years of experience in structural bridge design
* VDOT experience is preferred
* PE license required
* BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structures required
* Experience completing transportation studies, design reports, final design documents and developing contract plans, in conformity with accepted engineering standards and procedures or independent experience developing bridge design and detailing (steel, concrete, prestressed concrete), and seismic analysis

Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering students to join our Virginia Beach, Virginia (VA) office! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.
Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment.
Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices, procedures, and standards.
Interns will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS
Qualifications
In the process of receiving an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in one of the following majors:
Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering
