The Senior Director of Special Projects sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and leadership during a period of meaningful growth and transformation for Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) and Vanderbilt University.
In this role, you will work directly with senior leaders in DAR and across the university to tackle complex, high-priority challenges that require thoughtful analysis, creativity, and disciplined execution. You will be trusted with initiatives that do not yet have clear paths forward-bringing structure, momentum, and clarity to work that spans teams, functions, and institutional priorities. Projects may include multi-campus initiatives, division-wide strategic planning efforts, operating model design, transformation initiatives, and other priorities identified by senior leadership.

Key Functions and Expected Performance:
Strategic Initiative Leadership
* Lead planning, development, and execution of division-wide and institutionally significant projects.
* Translate leadership vision into actionable plans with milestones and success indicators.

Executive & Cross-Functional Coordination
* Serve as a central liaison among DAR leaders, university partners, and cross-functional teams.

Operational Excellence
* Develop templates, dashboards, and tracking tools to support transparent, data-driven execution.

Continuous Improvement & Change Leadership

* Serve as a thought partner to the Chief of Staff on division-wide planning and prioritization.
Supervisory Relationships:
This position does not have supervisory responsibility, this position reports administratively and functionally to the Chief of Staff and Associate Vice Chancellor of Finance and Business Services. This position will work closely with the Vice Chancellor, other members of DAR's Leadership team, and with leadership across the university.
Work Environment:
This position is based in the Nashville, TN area and operates in a hybrid work environment, with an expectation of being in the office up to four days per week, depending on business needs.
Education and Certifications:
* Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent, is required.
* Advance degree is preferred.
Experience and Skills:
* 8-10+ years of experience in project management, strategic planning, or operational leadership, or the equivalent, is required.
* Demonstrated success leading cross-functional, high-visibility projects.
* Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

Position Overview
The ExecutiveDirector, Clinical Development will serve as a key member of Immunome's R&D leadership team, reporting to the Chief Medical Officer. This executive will provide strategic direction and oversight for the clinical development of Immunome's pipeline, advancing innovative targeted oncology programs from early development through late-stage trials. Position Overview
The ExecutiveDirector, Clinical Development will serve as a key member of Immunome's R&D leadership team, reporting to the Chief Medical Officer. This executive will provide strategic direction and oversight for the clinical development of Immunome's pipeline, advancing innovative targeted oncology programs from early development through late-stage trials. The VP will play a critical role in shaping portfolio strategy, leading global clinical trial execution, and representing Immunome with regulators, investigators, and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic clinical leadership and hold responsibility for all clinical deliverables.
* Development of protocols consistent with the Clinical Development Plans (CDP), clinical components of regulatory documents and brand related medical information, clinical communication, and publications.
* Manage operational aspects and drive execution of the clinical program in partnership with other line functions.
* Manage budget and resources in coordination with CMO, and Project Managers, ensuring timely execution of assigned clinical deliverables.
* Participate in/contribute to activities with external stakeholders (e.g., regulatory authorities, key opinion leaders, advisory boards, patient advocacy groups), internal stakeholders, Translational Medicine, etc.) and internal decision boards.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external scientific experts in order to represent the company's interests from a clinical perspective.
* Support the CMO in ensuring overall safety of the compound in collaboration with the Safety Leader for the assigned program section.
* Remain current with clinical and drug development information relevant to assigned programs through the review of literature and attendance at medical/scientific meetings.
* Lead development and ensure implementation across program specific standards.
Qualifications
* M.D. with clinical research experience in oncology products is required.
* A minimum of 10+ years of clinical development experience in oncology.
* Proven track record of advancing oncology programs through pivotal/registrational trials; prior leadership experience in large pharma or biotech strongly preferred.
Knowledge and Skills

About the Work Unit: The Division of Real Estate, Facilities and Development ("REFD") budget exceeds $150 million in operating expenses and includes 600 employees. REFD manages major capital project expenditures totaling ~$300 million annually and facility renewal, replacement and large maintenance project expenditures totaling ~$20 million annually. The Business Operations Center (BOC) provides support to the division, specifically regarding the areas of Finance, Employee Relations, Systems, Communications and General Administration. REFD departments include BOC, Maintenance & Operations (VUMO), Planning, Design, and Construction (PDC), Real Estate, and Environmental Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHSS).
About the Role:
As the Executive Coordinator, you will join the Vanderbilt REFD team located in Nashville, TN, a world-class city on the rise, with cosmopolitan flair, and small-town appeal. As you settle in for the day, your activities might range from coordinating meetings to working directly for the REFD leadership team. This individual will join Vanderbilt University REFD as VU embarks on the most dynamic growth and development phase of its long and remarkable history.
The Executive Coordinator primarily supports the Vice Chancellor for REFD's leadership team, primarily the Assistant Vice Chancellors for VUMO and PDC and ExecutiveDirectors of BOC and Real Estate, providing administrative and organizational support for their departments. This includes project meeting coordination, calendar management, executive assistance, and project assistance as needed.
About You:
Our ideal candidate is an organized, team-oriented professional who is excited to learn and work with the REFD leadership team. You have clear communication, excellent writing skills, and develop rapport within the department and partner departments across campus. You can work independently as necessary and have the know-how to navigate complicated calendars and assist the leadership team in preparing for upcoming events and meetings. You'll be responsible for assisting with the REFD leadership team calendars, coordinating day-to-day meetings, preparing agendas and presentation materials, and arranging travel.
Key Functions & Expected Performance:
Executive Support
* Working with the leadership team, ensure agendas and detailed briefing materials prepared by the project teams are complete and timely to ensure REFD leadership effectiveness in support of VU programs and projects.
* Ensure follow-up issues from leadership and project coordination meetings are competently completed by the project, design and contractor teams in a timely manner. Ensure the REFD Leadership and project teams are utilizing the correct/ latest version of important files and draft correspondence.
* Record key aspects and takeaways from critical meetings and leadership briefings.
* Assist with travel bookings via Concur system and processing expense reports within Oracle Cloud.
* Act as OneCard trustee, performs transactions reconciliation, and completes timely expense reports.
Complex Calendar and General Support Related Duties
* Serves as backup to the Senior Executive Secretary in maintaining calendar for the Chief Facilities Officer. Includes calendar for individual and group calendars and organizing large meetings.
* Coordinates leadership team calendars with a wide variety of VU stakeholders and external partners.
* Assists Senior Executive Secretary in maintaining the strategic Master Calendar, which includes Chancellor-sponsored meeting dates for Public Utilities Commission, Real Estate Forum, Capital Projects Review Committee, and critical Board of Trust meeting dates.
* Assists with recruitment searches, travel, and interview schedules.
Project Coordination
* Working with the leadership team, provide departmental project management and support as needed.
* Prepare presentation materials as needed.
* Prepare internal departmental documents as needed, including policies, procedures, employee handbooks and more.
* Demonstrate the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
* Assist BOC Administrative team with events, including luncheons, breakfasts, off-site retreats, etc.
Supervisory Relationships:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. This position reports administratively and functionally to the Senior Executive Secretary of BOC.
Education and Certifications:
* A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education is preferred.
Experience and Skills:
* At least four years relevant experience is strongly preferred.
* Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and general web-based systems is required.
* Strong organizational skills, with an emphasis on managing multiple tasks and proven capability to meet deadlines is required.
