You become a number. They will give raises then obliterate your hours. You are forced to spend most of your time talking about programs and apps and sign ups instead of talking about the patients. They have a salaried "manager" for EVERY thing! There is so much middle management but when the numbers don't meet their "goals" it is the staff on the floor taking care of patients, whose wages, hours or even jobs are cut. You are serving a corporate business... Not the owner and not the patient.

My vacation time but only because my vacation agreement was grandfathered in from my private practice. The standard vacation time is junk.

They talk a really good game. They make you "feel" hard

Less middle management. So much focus on a manager for each adult little program, then under managers, area managers, regional managers, the manager of managers. It's insane.

Vca bought my clinic

It's very good if you're looking at simply dollar/hour. But they get around that by only scheduling the team for 30-36 hours so we wind up making way less but you don't know that coming in.

Oh VCA is ALL about diversity and demographics and checking the appropriate inclusivity boxes. Lots of programs and more managers for each diverse group
