PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Feed and care for all boarding pets per instructions.
· Cleans and disinfects cages, runs and dishes per protocol.
· Exercises all pets following all safety protocols and schedules.
· Utilizes Smartflow to record all patient observations, including urination, defecation, activity level, appearance and appetite information.
· Communicates to DVM and support staff regarding any concerns about a pet's well-being.
· Advises management of supplies needed.
· Interacts with clients in a timely and appropriate manner.
· Helps with laundry - washing, drying and putting away.
· Helps with trash removal to dumpster area.
· Records and monitors all belongings that may accompany a pet.
· Assure all pets are clean and presentable and all belongings accompany a pet when they leave.
· Demonstrate initiative and teamwork in everyday duties, assisting other team members within the practice.
· Organize work area and exercise time management skills to maximize personal efficiency within the practice. Prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner.
· Work well with all team members and ensure that your actions support the hospital, the doctors, and the practice philosophy.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
CONTROLS OVER WORK
Works under the direct supervision of CS Zone Manager, the indirect supervision of the Practice Manager and DVMs, and follows all current Standard Operating Procedures that are in place for each zone. Communicates in a professional manner with all other Team Members and DVMs. Work is reviewed in terms of adequacy of skills and services provided, with a special focus on Ethics, Performance and Team Work.

Associate is routinely exposed to a variety of pets that may bite or scratch, and on occasion, exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards and medication/controlled substances.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old to perform duties involving radiography (x-ray) and exposure to radioactive substances.
One year related experience required with customer service preferred.
Medical background (veterinary technician, human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) with medical terminology training is preferred.

$15.39 - $19.67 Hourly
