Pros of working at Veada Industries

Family members control everything here and are not held as accountable for their performance as one would be working in a managerial role in the real world. Having a high degree of family only in high level roles, there is no real opportunity for anyone outside of the family to advance. Unqualified people with heavy religious backgrounds may be the only exception. Everything you encounter here shows Christianity is a guiding a principle. At least it appears that way. In actual practice, the company fails miserably in the way they treat and use people. Family members can be dilatory, arrogant, insulting, and scream and yell at employees in the performance of their duties. Bursts of uncalled for anger is not uncommon. If company management proactively managed the business, such reactionary behavior would not be necessary. Factory workers consist of many women, many Hispanics, and some American men. Here everybody at every level is a factory worker except for family. Wages are near the poverty level for many factory workers unless they work an ungodly number of hours. Many would have to rely on food banks to be able to feed their families if they didn't. The company does give away free meat to employees periodically. Perhaps, that is less costly than paying a livable hourly wage. Everyone is hourly except a select few. Overall, company management could really care less about the people that work here and contribute to their success unless you are one of the controlling owner's favorites. Sometimes there is purposeful abuse of employees singled out for treatment. Other internal employee abuses are known and ignored. If an employee identifies a problem or mistreatment to management, they are ignored. Nothing is done because they simply don't care. All of the focus here is on production numbers. The work environment is rigid and unforgiving. Expect to be at work if there is 15 inches of snow on the ground. The boats must ship. Colossians 4:1 “Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.”

Cons of working at Veada Industries

How can a company supposedly make a stellar product but not take really good care of the very people that make and support that product and directly contribute to a company's success? Some companies hide behind the Bible and use that for financial gain. This company has the Ten Commandments on their website so I really wonder if they unfairly take advantage of all employees that are not family members or part of the owner's buddy buddy group. Matthew 6:1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

Veada has a vindictive streak that is masked by a regular, well choreographed chorus of God Bless You pouring out of their mouths and written correspondence. If you mistakenly find yourself at this company, you will eventually realize this was a major waste of your life. People that have worked here for a long time are either insiders, family members, or lack the ability, ambition, and knowledge to do anything else. Stay here long enough and you will become one of them. If you are intelligent and have invested time and money to educate yourself, for heaven's sake don't throw it all away by investing your life in a career here!

Pros of working at Veada Industries

It's a job.

Cons of working at Veada Industries

FACT: Veada makes boat seats. All of Veada's largest customers make boats. A very small number of customers buy padded seats for medical devices, which by Veada's own admission requires a small number of employees. We have a Veada issued letter dated March 24, 2020 to employees saying so. Furthermore, BOAT SEATS ARE NOT ESSENTIAL PRODUCTS! Rather than follow the stay-at-home orders issued by Governor Holcomb, Veada self determined it was an essential business by saying, "some of our large customers are considered essential.". We have a Veada issued letter dated April 17, 2020 to employees saying so. This puts almost 600 souls at risk of death with many more severely than others that were called back on April 20, 2020. Many work areas at Veada do not provide adequate space for social distancing. Considering the order to return to work during the world-wide pandemic before the governor's stay at home order was rescinded, to make a non-essential product, it is absolutely clear this company puts revenue ahead of the lives and well-being of the people that directly contribute to the company's success.
