Peter P. Gassner (born 1965) is the CEO and co-founder of Veeva, a company supporting processes in the pharmaceutical industry. Nitsa manages Veeva’s corporate marketing programs, including branding, communications, lead generation, sales enablement and product marketing. She has more than 20 years of marketing and technology experience, with particular expertise in communications and CRM software. Prior to joining Veeva, Nitsa was a senior executive at First Virtual Group, where she was responsible for marketing across the company’s diverse lines of business. She also managed the Siebel Foundation, operating programs such as the Meth Project, Siebel Scholars, and the Siebel Stem Cell Institute. The internationally renowned campaigns that she created for the Meth Project earned more than 45 advertising awards. Under Nitsa’s leadership, the Foundation was named the third most effective philanthropy in the world by Barron’s magazine and received a White House commendation. Nitsa joined First Virtual Group following eight years at Siebel Systems, where she held a number of executive leadership positions in corporate marketing and product marketing. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from California State University.

Currently, I serve as the Global CIO and Head of Operations at Veeva Systems, the leading industry cloud software provider in life sciences with 2,800 employees and 28 offices around the world (NYSE: VEEV). I'm working from (and serving as the site exec for) Veeva's fast-growing Columbus hub office. Previously, I spent a great 6 years as CIO/COO with a national nonprofit foundation focused on ensuring all students get access to a quality K-12 education to prepare them for college and career. Before that, I ran the Software Engineering division for The Kroger Company, Fortune #15; and before that, I was President and CTO of a SaaS business that provided internet search, shopping, and advertising solutions to media companies throughout the US. I also spent time as the VP & GM of a software company specializing in digital graphics and print utilities, digital asset management, and eProcurement. The bulk of my early career was spent at PeopleSoft, Inc., ending after 12 years as a Vice President in the Tools & Technology products organization. I was responsible for various product development teams, maintenance development, security, the global support center, and maintaining executive level relationships with PeopleSoft's C-level customer base. Earlier responsibilities included establishing and running a technology consulting practice in the Southern region, and assisting customers with performance tuning and technical architecture engagements.
