Base pay: $110,000 - $270,000

Collaborate closely with ODM partners through all phases of the design and development lifecycle - from concept to mass production-ensuring timely and high-quality firmware deliverables.

Design and implement robust and scalable firmware interfaces for platform initialization (CPU, Memory, PCIe and interconnects), system firmware security (RoT, Chain-of-trust, Signed FW updates, Secure Boot, etc.), Server RAS, and firmware update infrastructure.
Partner with hardware, BMC, security, systems, and validation teams to drive alignment across the entire platform stack.
Lead debug efforts on complex hardware/firmware/system issues in lab and production environments.
Contribute to the UEFI/EDKII upstream community and drive adoption of industry standards relevant to hyperscale firmware management.
Prior experience in UEFI development for ARM Servers is a MUST. Prior development experience in EDK II codebase is a MUST. Prior development experience in AMI Aptio codebase is desired.
Required Skills and Experience :
Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
10+ years of hands-on experience in UEFI firmware development, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead engineering role.
Strong expertise with UEFI, Tiano and related firmware code structures, and system firmware / software design.
Experience leading UEFI firmware solutions in hyperscale environments (e.g., cloud service providers, large-scale data center infrastructure).

Experience with code static analysis tools and vulnerability scanners.
Experience with system-level debug tools such as logic analyzers, JTAG, GDB.
Extensive experience working with and leading ODM/JDM partners, including technical leadership, reviews, and issue triage.

Prior contributions to the UEFI/EDK II open-source community.
Familiarity with firmware security technologies (secure boot, measured boot, signed images, TPM integration).

Summary
Join a world class team to create high end electronics cooling solutions for systems such as AI servers, switches, and accelerators. We work hard together to design at the leading edge of cooling technology. Must have relevant coursework in heat transfer and fluid mechanics, and good familiarity with 3D software applications.
As a member of the Hardware Product Development team, you have the ability to work in partnership with hardware, software, and thermal architects within and outside Celestica to define the best in class products. Celestica has a profoundly cooperative and nonconfrontational culture.
Responsibilities:
Complete ownership of thermal design for various electronic products from thermal modeling, design, test, and design revision, until transfer to manufacturing.
Conduct thermal simulations, postprocessing, and analysis ranging from chip to facilities level to verify thermal feasibility, risk, and to inform your designs.
Maintain awareness of heat transfer hardware available from all sources, including how it operates and performs, its cost, and how it can be incorporated into our products.
Conceive and implement ways to enhance and extend operation of heat transfer hardware.
Consider the thermal aspects of chip packaging technologies.
Apply best-in-class fluid flow geometry and technology to cool high heat flux chips.
Determine and consider the effects of contact resistance and the use of Thermal Interface Materials.
Apply air cooling when possible and liquid cooling when necessary to achieve full performance and reliability at the lowest cost.
Size liquid cold plates, heat sinks, heat pipes, air movers, air filters, air ducting, and perforated plates.
Plan your work to achieve full required performance, and stay on schedule to support overall product development.
Reference real world limitations to inform your work, such as manufacturing methods and cost, reliability, variability of incoming parts, and tolerances on all specifications.
Perform hands‑on lab tests of equipment from component to rack and facility level for design and model validation. Document thermal test plans, devise and build test stands, including techanical support, cooling liquid supply, power delivery, metrology and instrumentation, compute workload, experiment control, and data recording.
Analyze test data to draw inferences about the equipment tested. Apply statistical methods as required to maximize utilization of data and test usefulness.
Work with multi‑disciplinary groups to define system requirements and design products.
Work with cross‑functional teams to identify root causes of system performance.
Education:
Master's degree in Engineering. Preference giving to candidates with a Master's degree in Thermodynamic Engineering

The Workload Networking team is responsible for the collective communication stack used in our largest training jobs. Using a combination of C++ and CUDA we work on novel collective communication techniques that enable efficient training of our flagship models on our largest custom built supercomputers.
The models we train are key ingredients to the AI research progress at OpenAI and the field as a whole, and we continually incorporate learnings from our entire research org into our training platform.
Role
As a SoftwareEngineer, Networking you will design and implement custom networking collectives that are tightly integrated into our training stack.
We\'re looking for people who have a background in low level performance critical software. Experience with collective communication is a bonus.
This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with ML researchers to design and implement efficient collective operations in C++ and CUDA.
Ensure that our largest training jobs take full advantage of the different network transports used in our supercomputers.
Work on simulations to inform our future supercomputer network designs.
Qualifications
Have written distributed algorithms using RDMA in the past.
Are comfortable writing low level performance sensitive CPU and/or GPU code.
Are familiar with network simulation techniques.

You submit your resume, short cover letter of questions, and take a personality test
Within one week we will notify you via email if we would like to go to the next step or not
The next step is a single 2-hour interview with a member of our tech evaluation team. Part of this is a coding exercise in the language of your choice (Java, JavaScript or Python)
Within one week after this step, we will give you an offer, or let you know that we do not wish to move forward
You will have two weeks to accept our offer or not. If you accept, we will hold a spot for you and expect you to show up on your start date. Accepting an offer and continuing to interview would be an ethical violation in our view
When you join you will be assigned to an engineering manager in your work location. It's important to know you are applying to work as an engineer in a location but not applying for a specific team/product
Compensation
Starting base pay (Cash + RSU): $115,000 in Columbus
Starting bonus of $20,000 and annual stock options which can be quite valuable if Veeva stock does well over the long term
