Key Responsibilities: * Plans, leads, and manages personnel responsible for the organization's portfolio of projects and maintains efficiency of important project management aspects such as planning, scheduling, and budget and risk assessment. * Develops and executes project objectives by collaborating with the customer on needs and goals, project proposals, project plans, and intermediate execution status. * Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from contractors. * Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards, completing technical studies, and preparing cost estimates. * Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests. * Determines and maintains project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, sequencing project elements, and maintaining project schedule. * Controls project plans by reviewing designs, specifications, schedule changes, and recommending actions. * Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and recommending actions. * Responsible for technical/operational leadership of a project/mission within the programmatic guidelines set by the program manager and customer. * Defines, generates, and reviews project requirements documentation; performs technical studies to refine project requirements. * Monitors projects to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of related experience; OR AA with 8+ years of related experience; OR HS with 10+ years of related experience in lieu of degree. * Must have previous experience managing IT projects. * Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is strongly desired. * CCNA is strongly desired.
