**Northrop Grumman's Business Unit, Armament Systems** has an opening for an **Sr Principal Contract Manufacturing Representative** . This role can be in Plymouth, MN or Mesa, AZ. Armament Systems is a leading producer of Gun Systems and Ammunition.
**Position Summary** :
This role reports to our Director of Supply Chain. This person will perform sourcing, supplier development and sustainment support activities for our business unit. This position requires a motivated individual able to work independently and as a team player who can multi-task and communicate effectively with varying levels of program, engineering and GSC stakeholders.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Provide sourcing recommendation to internal customers (common products procurement and major subcontract) by utilizing strategic sourcing tools.
+ Identifying and on-boarding new sources of supply and detailed commodities such as machined piece parts, plastic molded parts, electronics, and energetics.
+ Conducting capability assessments, performing supplier audits and performance monitoring of suppliers for assigned commodities.
+ Travel required up to 75%
+ Flex work schedule to work remotely part time with manager approval.
+ Work effectively with engineering, and materials & processes, supplier quality and sub-contracts organizations to help resolve technical supplier challenges and access supplier capabilities for global supply chain and capture teams.
+ Support successful execution of supplier source selection, on-boarding (if applicable) and follow-on acquisition cycles with electronics suppliers.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ This position emphasis skills and experience. Must have 12 years of experience. Will also consider a Bachelor degree with a minimum work experience of 8 years or Masters and 6 years of experience.
+ Previous experience working with engineering, and materials & processes, supplier quality and sub-contracts organizations to help resolve technical supplier challenges and access supplier capabilities for global supply chain and capture teams.
+ Experience in reviewing a supplier's ISO and QMS systems to ensure they can meet the program requirements.
+ Ability to assess a suppliers capabilities and capacity to meet program demands.
+ Experience reviewing a contract to understand the requirements and verify a supplier's compliance to those requirements.
+ Experience using SAP, Windows software packages, and other electronic databases
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,100.00 - $147,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Responsibilities:
The contractor shall perform the following related to the work items assigned.
observe, monitor work performed by shipyard personnel to verify and validate adherence to work package requirements and ABS/USCG Regulatory Body requirements. Contractor shall verify installations, interfaces, test procedures, test results and compare to the specifications of the work items and drawings.
Provide review of shipyard production activities in the areas of piping and steel and aluminum fit-ups, weld inspection, and gauging. Make determinations on plating and piping replacement requirements and provide recommendations to PPE. Provide review of structural drawings and documents to ensure proper grade and plate sizes are being utilized.
Provide a written daily status report on assigned work items to the PPE.. Provide periodic verbal reports to the PPE on status of assigned work items throughout the day.
Attend Quality Assurance Checkpoints. Report any concerns to PPE.
Contractor shall perform daily rounds walking the ship during various times of the day to observe and monitor shipyard work process, quality and progress being accomplished for assigned work items.

**Responsibilities:**
+ The Pacific Spaceport Complex-Alaska (PSCA) Manager is responsible to Alaska Aerospace Corporation (AAC) senior management for all spaceport facility operations and sustainment. The PSCA Manager leads site personnel in the daily activity in support project execution and maintenance efforts. Included is leading the design and development of system architectures and key capabilities and performance requirements for solutions or products to support PSCA launch operations requirements that encompass non-information technology related engineering or scientific disciplines. These solutions or products may require hardware, communications, cyber, electrical, manufacturing, mechanical, or other specialized engineering domain knowledge in order to design, develop, and support them. The PSCA Manager coordinates site staff priorities in support of customer launch operations. The role is multi-faceted and vital to space launch safety, the PSCA Manager will apply airport management best practices to the emerging sector of commercial spaceports.
+ Program Safety Support: Assist Mission Manager in all Ground Safety Officer related tasks, deliverables, questions and preparation before flight. Communicate gap assessment opportunities for improvement for GSO mission operation deliverables. Participate in post launch analyses of team performance and lessons learned.
+ Hazard analysis: Conduct comprehensive safety analyses for all launch vehicle hardware, ground support equipment, and processing procedures. The officer must identify all potential hazards and work with PSCA staff to establish controls to prevent them from affecting the public and onsite personnel.
+ Procedure review/approval: Coordinate, review and approve customer (Launch Vehicle & Payload) ground operations procedures (78+). Procedures include but are not limited to solid motor transport, ground handling operations, ordinance checkout and installation, cryogenic transfer, high-pressure systems and hydrazine.
+ Operational oversight: Provide direct oversight of hazardous ground operations, conducting safety walk-downs and inspections to ensure compliance with all regulations, including OSHA and FAA license. Ensure customer operator contains proper certification and checkout on sight before PSCA equipment utilization. Maintain positive relationships with management, employees, and vendors.
+ Emergency response: Manage existing emergency response plans and participate in safety drills if required. The officer must be able to act decisively during emergencies or unsafe situations, including the authority to hold or abort an operation.
+ Training and supervision: Provide safety briefings to all incoming customers & staff involved in launch operations. Assistance will be provided to the GSO through local range support team and Range Control Officer.
+ Incident investigation: Lead or support accident and "near-miss" investigations to determine the cause and implement corrective actions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage program instantiation of the Quality Management System (QMS)
Deploy and implement appropriate QMS processes
Integrate closely with the program team to implement and execute the QMS
Recommend, facilitate, track and report on continuous process improvement activities
Implement audit practices for internal processes and products
Ensure adherence to all standards, Leidos policies, and best practices
Support the development and collection of performance metrics
Track, analyze and report to program management on trends found in the performance metrics
Provide the program manager with timely metrics and audit outcomes to gauge progress towards quality objectives
Report to higher level management on Quality Achievement and act as liaison for enterprise quality initiatives for the program.
Review and submit contract deliverables
Ensure compliance with PWS, QASP, and EENG
Create, update, adopt a Tailored Process Baseline (TPB) for the program as applicable
Document and work to resolve nonconformities and requirement escapes via root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action
Support Leidos reporting, such as Quality Management Reviews, In Process Reviews, Weekly Activity Reports, and Monthly Operational Reviews

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
BA degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
Experience providing Quality Management with Software Development and IT Service Management Projects
Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt
Experience auditing to external quality standards such as ISO9001/ISO20000/AS9100/CMMI Dev or Svc
Experienced with peer reviews and process auditing
Experience collecting and analyzing metrics
Ability to multi-task, complete tasks without direct supervision, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written skills
Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, & Project)
Ability to support limited domestic travel
Security Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Lean Six-Sigma Black Belt

Pay Range:
This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA).
