Ensure that all products and packaging produced comply with all quality guidelines. Accomplish this by using the daily production schedule to determine the products to be processed and know the specific requirements for each product ran. These include, but are not limited to, processing parameters, ingredients, coding, rework, labeling, packaging, machinery set up and operations, including palletizing configurations in order to process food grade oils. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Start up and check equipment for preventative maintenance issues, proper set up, and operation. Perform minor maintenance and adjustments as needed. Perform pre-shift preparation, ensure all surfaces that contact product, i.e., piping, utensils, and vessels are sanitized and ready for operation Maintains operation of crystallizing and/or filling and packaging machinery to produce a quality product within customer's requirements and specifications Read daily production schedule to determine products to be processed and know their specific requirements as well as process in the established sequence for crystallizing Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), safety procedures, company policies, quality policies and procedures, and Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points as they apply to this position Performs quality checks on proper placement of lids, packaging, weights, codes, and case inspections to ensure that all quality and customer specifications are met. Crystallization will require operator to perform some analytical testing Communicates any problems or issues with appropriate personnel, including at shift change and with incoming machine operator.     Employment Type: Hourly Shift: Days - 12 hour shifts Work Arrangement: Onsite Installs and writes programmable logic contoller based systems, maintains electronic and instrument based components of machinery and equipment while following electrical code, ladder logic, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications. Assists in project management and implementation of new control systems. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Programs, troubleshoots, and maintains PLC's with a lap top computer using platform systems by vendors such as Allen Bradley, Semiens, Rexroth, etc. Assists in project management and implementation of new control systems, control system upgrades, equipment, and equipment upgrades Replaces faulty switches, and other elements of electrical and mechanical systems. Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures. Installs, repairs, overhauls, modifies and maintains electrical and mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery. Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electrical, electronic, and mechanical components throughout the Plant. Maintains Plant power distribution systems, including performing preventive maintenance, and installing wiring, conduit and apparatus. Education and Experience: Associates degree in electronic or electrical technology or equivalent experience. 5 years progressively responsible journey level experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery to including PLC based systems, servo motors, and drives. Project management experience. AutoCad experience. Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge and experience with Ladder Logic. Ability to write ladder logic. Ability to program controls. Ability to use AutoCad Working knowledge of electronic and electrical concepts and operating safety. Working knowledge of and demonstrated ability to use electronic and electrical test equipment including digital and analog volt and ohm-meters, oscilloscopes, data analyzers and circuit testers. Knowledge of current national electrical code. Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools commonly used in electrical, electronic, and mechanical trades. Train Production Machine Technician to increase skill level in the department. Decrease equipment downtime utilizing training and skills.
