**Job Description**
**Position Purpose:**
Provides day-to-day monitoring and basic plant operations, assists with routine lab tests and basic corrective and preventative maintenance activities in a food waste to renewable gas facility.
**Primary Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ Operates equipment manually and through instrumentation panels, computer terminals and programmable logic control units following process control procedures.
+ Detects and diagnoses process issues in single and multi-unit processes and takes remedial/corrective actions to correct.
+ Troubleshoots process upsets and recommends & implements corrective actions to maintain compliance and plant performance.
+ Monitors the entire process via HMI and implements changes to the processes to maximize efficiency.
+ Strong Computer literacy to enter, track and trend process data.
+ Records daily events accurately and factually into the operator log book
+ Operates Centrifuges
+ Performs chemical drawdowns to optimize chemical performance and usage
+ Monitors and observes operating conditions, records observations and data in shift log.
+ Diagnoses basic operational problems and takes corrective action per procedure.
+ Reports and documents results of work performed and enters into the appropriate database.
+ Promptly reports any operational problems with machines or equipment to Lead or Project Manager.
+ Performs field tests (chemical, physical and biological) in order to pace chemical dosages for process and odor control units.
+ Prepares chemical solutions, monitors supplies and recommends reorder.
+ Performs routine lab tests when necessary and prepares reports per procedure.
+ Performs routine instrument calibration for portable meters including, but not limited to, dissolved oxygen, pH, H2S, percent oxygen, lower explosive limit.
+ Performs manual labor including cleaning equipment, facilities and grounds as required and properly disposes of waste according to safety and environmental policies.
+ Operates vehicles, mobile equipment and material handling equipment for operational and maintenance purposes.
+ Interacts, communicates closely with and effectively supports site maintenance staff to diagnose mechanical issues.
+ Performs general site housekeeping, cleaning and disinfection of work areas.
+ Operates Powered Industrial Trucks after qualified (fork truck and scissor lift).
+ Receives, tracks and supervises chemical off-loading deliveries, both in bulk and tote.
+ Conducts and documents site specific inspections (Safety, Daily Rounds, etc.)
+ May assist in other areas of the facility as directed.
+ Any others duties assigned by site management.
**Work Environment:**
+ Spends 75% of time in a field operations environment and 25% in a control room setting.
+ Time will be spent exposed to outdoor and inclement weather conditions.
+ Exposed to extreme temperature and humid environments.
+ Possible Work Hazards: May be exposed to possible operation hazards including fumes, dust, toxic, acidic and caustic chemicals, noise, moving mechanical parts and vehicles, heavy machinery, high pressure and hot and cold temperatures, slippery surfaces, water and electrical hazards.
**Qualifications**
**Education/Experience/Background:**
+ High School Diploma/GED is required.
+ Six months to two years of experience in a related position with experience in a similar environment preferred.
+ Biological wastewater treatment experience preferred.
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**
+ Ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions) and be able to carry out verbal and written instructions.
+ Must demonstrate a working ability to use computer programs for process control.
+ Must have the ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions).

+ Must demonstrate ability to learn, independently operate and safely use equipment such as pumps, engines, centrifuge, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed, odor control, disinfection equipment, sludge processing filters, filter and measuring/control devices, testing equipment and material handling equipment.
+ Must be able to serve rotational 24-hour emergency on-call if required by site.
+ Must demonstrate proficiency in the care and use of all site specific, facility required PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).
+ Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary and essential.
+ Ability to work a rotating shift that includes holidays and weekends.
**Required Certification/Licenses/Training:**
+ Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
+ Must be able to pass a drug test and a criminal background check.
+ Must be able to pass random drug screens per contractual requirements.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Amount of time spent - Standing 75%, Walking 15%, Crouching/Bending 10%
+ Climbing ladders to access elevated equipment, vertical climbs of near 90'.
+ Ability to carry 50 lbs.
+ Ability to ascend and descend stairs over multiple level changes.
+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
+ Requires close visual and hearing observations to detect non-conformance and equipment malfunction.

+ Stooping, crouching, bending or kneeling to access work areas, enter confined spaces and uneven work surfaces.

About The Role:
Responsible for measuring, threading adjusting flange fit, and facing the flange on piece of pipe. Work also includes operation of the machine and a crane to move pipe in and out of machine.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify fabrication requirements on the job card.
Identify fabrication requirements written on each piece of pipe.
Place pipe in machine, center the pipe, and tighten for work.
After the pipe is in place, the operator will machine tapered threads into the pipe.
During this process, the machine operator is responsible for verifying measurements, such as thread depth and correct taper.
After the threads are cut the operator tests the flange to make sure it screws onto the pipe properly. Adjustments are made to the threads if an issue occurs.
Applies glue on pipe and flange and uses the machine to tighten the flange onto the pipe.
Runs the cutting tool across the surface of the flange to flush fit the flange onto the pipe.
Remove pipe from machine and place on boards.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Good with math, able to read a tape measure and micrometer.
Ability to understand machinery processes.

**Position Purpose:**
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Industrial Wastewater Equipment Operator to run and maintain high-capacity centrifuges and filter press systems used in wastewater treatment and sludge dewatering processes. The operator will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, equipment efficiency, and overall environmental performance of our facility.
**Primary Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ Operate, monitor, and adjust dewatering equipment including centrifuges and filter presses.
+ Prepare equipment for operation by inspecting components, checking lubrication, and verifying instrumentation.
+ Start up, operate, and shut down systems according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
+ Monitor process parameters such as flow rates, pressures, torque, cake dryness, and filtrate clarity.
+ Troubleshoot mechanical or process issues and coordinate maintenance as needed.
+ Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of all assigned equipment.
+ Collect, label, and log samples for laboratory analysis.
+ Maintain accurate records, including logbooks, inspection checklists, and maintenance schedules.
+ Assist with chemical handling (e.g., polymers, pH adjustment) and safe disposal of sludge cake and residuals.
+ Follow all safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and PPE requirements.
+ Support environmental and compliance audits by providing data and access to systems.
**Work Environment:**
+ Work is performed in an industrial setting with exposure to noise, odors, chemicals, and moving machinery.
**Qualifications**
**Education/Experience/Background:**
+ High School Diploma/GED is required.
+ Mechanical aptitude and experience with pumps, valves, hydraulic systems, and control panels.
