Meter has plans for ambitious growth and is investing heavily in growing the Sales team. To support that growth, we need to hire our first Sales Operations team member to partner with Sales leadership to own the function and lay the foundation for scalable and high-performing sales execution.
This role will directly influence how Meter's go-to-market engine operates and evolves as we grow.
What success looks like
In the first 6 months, you will:
Design and launch scalable sales workflows, from lead assignment through close, to support growing headcount and opportunities.
Operationalize our forecasting and pipeline reporting by building dashboards and processes that deliver visibility (e.g., pipeline health, win rates, velocity).
Partner effectively across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product to provide analytical insights, optimize territory planning, quota structure, and resource allocation.
Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks (e.g., data gaps, hand-off friction, inaccurate pipeline) to improve sales efficiency.
Implement new programs, platforms and software to improve sales efficiency, data collection, analysis and reporting.
Establish process governance (cadences, dashboards, workflows) for consistent execution and continuous improvement.
What your day will look like
Collaborate with Sales leadership to understand end-to-end revenue engine goals and challenges.
Build, refine, and maintain dashboards and reports for leaders and reps (via Salesforce, BI tools, etc.).
Develop clear, repeatable playbooks for forecasting, quota planning, territory design, and deal execution.
Work cross-functionally to ensure sales processes integrate smoothly with marketing campaigns, product launches, and finance forecasts.
Conduct root-cause analyses on opportunity slippage, pipeline gaps, or forecasting variances, while driving corrective actions.
Establish and lead operational rhythms (e.g., weekly pipeline reviews, forecast meetings, and deal desk sessions).
Who you are
You bring 5+ years of hands-on Sales Operations experience, ideally in high-growth SaaS or infrastructure businesses - networking is an even bigger plus.
You're equally strategic and tactical-skilled at diagnosing business problems and building efficient ops systems from the ground up.
You've successfully implemented sales frameworks (e.g., forecasting, territory/quota design) and improved funnel efficiency.
You're fluent in Salesforce and can build dashboards with BI or analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Excel).
You have a collaborative mindset and the ability to align stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product.
You thrive in ambiguity-comfortable defining processes where none exist-yet deliver results with speed and rigor.
Bonus if you have experience working with partner-driven or network-infrastructure go-to-market models, and know what it means to scale through channels.

Compensation
The estimated base salary range for this role is $160,000 - $190,000.
Additionally, this role is eligible to earn commissions and to participate in Meter's equity plan.

Facilitates prospect follow up meeting(s).
Matches WM services with customer needs by demonstrating knowledge of customers, pricing and competition; effectively communicates pricing and service strategies; proactively engages other Waste Management business opportunities, referring internally as appropriate.
Uses in depth industry and company knowledge and makes recommendations on equipment optimization and leasing options.
Negotiates and closes sales by effectively communicating alternatives and positions to reach mutually beneficial sales agreements.
Prepares and delivers complex sales proposals.
Conducts post-sale administrative work to ensure product/service implementation is successful.
III. Qualifications. Must live and work in the U.S.
A. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of business-to-business sales experience.
One (1) year of business-to-business sales experience (in addition to education requirement).
B. Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience cold calling and outside sales

About the Role:
U.S. Pipe is seeking a Technical Resource Engineer to join our team. This position responsibilities will include consults with owners, owner's representatives (consulting engineers), and customers regarding technical matters concerning product application, construction specifications, installation procedures, customer complaints, and other services required to promote the company's products and maintain the end user's satisfaction. THIS CANDIDATE MUST BE RELOCATEABLE TO THE RICHMOND, VIRGINIA AREA.
Specific Responsibilities:
* Drives specification inclusion and product promotion through presentations to engineers, municipalities, contractors, and owners.
* Supports the sales staff.
* Performs field investigations on an as needed basis of customer complaints when the company's product fails to meet the customer's expectations making recommendations as to remedial action required to resolve the source of the dissatisfaction.
* Recommendations are also made concerning financial settlements on customer damage claims.
* Consults with owners and owner's representatives concerning the proper application of the company products and assists in drafting project specifications incorporating ANSI, AWWA, ISO and other applicable standards.
* Assists in design of product systems to meet specific project needs incorporating ANSI, AWWA, DIPRA, ISO, and other applicable design procedures.
* This consultation may involve corrosion affects and prevention of the company's products.
* Consults with customers (including distributors, contractors, and owner's personnel) on proper application, assembly, and installation of the company's products.
* Trains installation personnel in the proper assembly and installation techniques.
* Meets with owner's personnel to discuss failures of the company's products to meet performance expectations and participates in mutual resolutions to achieve the owner's expectations.
* Consults with various company department heads and advises on service and product shortcomings effecting remedial action as required.
Qualifications:
* Requires a BS in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical preferred).
* Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate preferred, and a Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or ability to obtain).
* Waterworks or Public Utilities experience.
* Possess problem solving skills
* Requires good verbal, written and presentation skills.
* Must have the ability to apply standard engineering principles to situations and be able to develop solutions incorporating available products and procedures to minimize customer work stoppage in an economical manner.
* Must have a general knowledge of construction equipment and its capabilities, and construction practices and procedures.
* Must be able to communicate and negotiate with disappointed people under less than amicable conditions.
