Transport Drivers perform a vital function in the service of our customers by transporting product safely and efficiently while complying with all applicable federal and state transportation and safety regulations.
Company Interfaces:
* Transport Drivers report to the Terminal or Transportation Manager in their assigned location.
* The position interfaces with other employees within the terminals, company leadership, customers, vendors and regulatory agency contacts.
Transport Driver II Job Responsibilities:
Drive tractor-trailer (tanker) combination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver asphalt products over short and long distances.
Use and/or operate equipment, including but not limited to: ladders, loading arms, control valves, metal hoses, landing gear, air lines, cords and wheel pins.
Maneuver truck into loading and unloading position, following signals from terminal operators as needed.
Drive truck to weigh station before and after product loading and along route to document weight.
Drive truck into position to load at filling rack.
Open valves or starts pumps to fill trailer.
Read gauges or meters and records quantity loaded.
Record amount delivered and issues ticket to customer.
Conform to Federal and State driving regulations, including driver logs.
Inspect truck before and after trips. Submits report indicating truck condition.
Read "Bill of Lading" to determine assignment.
Responsible for re-fueling truck, checking oil and all fluids.
Maintains truck interior.
Able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time in a variety of weather conditions.
Manual dexterity; ability to reach; able to bend and move with agility.
Ability to lift and move up to 50-70 lbs.
Able to climb up and down tank ladder as needed.
Able to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles .
Well-groomed professional appearance.
Transport Driver II Job Qualifications:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with Tanker endorsement.
2-3 years of Class A CDL driving experience.

2. Field Delivery Process

Maintain respectful, professional communication with onsite personnel during delivery.
3. Retrieval of Used Tools
* Remove used setting tools from the on-site Fortress box and load them by hand back into the same box used to deliver the new tools.
* Transport used tools back to the Fortress shop for cleaning, building, inspection, and reloading.
4. General Responsibilities
Follow all DOT regulations and ensure logs, inspections, and hours of service are accurately maintained.
Perform basic maintenance checks and immediately report vehicle defects or tool damages.
Maintain a clean vehicle and organized cargo area.
Adhere to all company safety, environmental, and quality protocols.
Ensure all QA/QC documentation is completed in real-time using the KPA iFortress application. This includes documentation for tool condition, loading/unloading verification, delivery records, and return checklists.

2. Field Delivery Process
Deliver setting tools to customer locations in the field as scheduled.
Unload tools by hand, one at a time, from the box and place them neatly into Fortress storage box on site.
Ensure tools are arranged safely and logically for easy customer access and inventory control rotation.
Maintain respectful, professional communication with onsite personnel during delivery.
3. Retrieval of Used Tools
Remove used setting tools from the on-site Fortress box and load them by hand back into the same box used to deliver the new tools.
Transport used tools back to the Fortress shop for cleaning, building, inspection, and reloading.
4. General Responsibilities
Follow all DOT regulations and ensure logs, inspections, and hours of service are accurately maintained.
Perform basic maintenance checks and immediately report vehicle defects or tool damages.
Maintain a clean vehicle and organized cargo area.
Adhere to all company safety, environmental, and quality protocols.
Ensure all QA/QC documentation is completed in real-time using the KPA iFortress application. This includes documentation for tool condition, loading/unloading verification, delivery records, and return checklists.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Valid CDL or appropriate state driver's license for 1-ton pickup operation (CDL preferred but not mandatory unless required by load weight/state).
Forklift certified or ability to be trained and certified.
Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, and maneuver tools weighing up to 50 lbs.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Knowledge of basic DOT regulations and safe load securement practices.
Working Conditions
