Job Description
As a Global Process Chemist you will work closely with the Technology, Global Engineering and Regional Quality and EHS functions, being a key contact person for the development, roll out and sustainability of all initiatives relating to Veolia's CSM Chemical manufacturing operations with WTS business unit or related regional tolling operations.
In this critical role, you'll provide technical guidance, direction and training to plant staff and operators on process chemistry and safety, ensuring awareness and adhesion to process operation parameters and safety limits. You'll lead and provide onsite support for startup trials on new and/or improved processes, provide on-time coverage for troubleshooting, participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting different new business opportunities, manufacturing process optimization, and cost-out initiatives in the business and ensure Safe Chemical Manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:
Support the Global Process Chemistry team to ensure all aspects of Process safety are addressed in projects and proper operating procedures are being applied at all reaction and blending plant operations.
Be the chemical expert to support the global reaction plants and tollers during start up and commissioning of new products and support for ongoing production challenges.
Maintain global communications to utilize resources in other regions and to ensure we meet the business needs of a global organization including Technology, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Product Quality, Business Units, and Supply Chain.
Represent Global Process Chemistry in team meetings and projects to ensure process chemistry and process safety requirements are covered from a regional point of view while ensuring consistency with global standards.
Support Cost-out initiatives by investigating the best operational strategy, in-house production vs tolling.
Support the regional tolling technology transfer leader by assembling and providing toll manufacture SOPs, conducting onsite EHS, Quality and Engineering audits, and following up on completion of corrective actions. Being a critical part of the qualification team through the entire qualification process, providing guidance and support of scale-up trials ensuring safe operation and delivering products meeting quality expectations.
Work closely together with the engineering team during the design and commissioning of new engineering projects at the Veolia CMS plants and provide technical process support
Assemble process safety information, including P&IDs, equipment design data, and process parameters needed for successful completion of Process Hazard Analyses (PHA/HAZOP)
Implement the company's internal standards for hazardous processes (e.g. flammable materials, combustible dust handling and neutralization reactions) etc.
Implement, maintain, and improve all aspects of the company's process safety program. Maintaining compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, EU, and
country/state/local requirements including Process Safety Management, RMP, and Seveso.
Drive continuous system and process improvements based on Digitization and Lean Six Sigma methodology.
Qualifications
Core Requirements:
Master's degree in science, preferably Organic or Polymer Chemistry or equivalent University Degree. PhD is a plus!
Detailed understanding of chemical plant processes and process safety.
Expertise with chemical process instrumentation and WinCC
Experience in conducting employee Process Safety training
Support the process safety compliance culture associated with the Chemical Industry environment
Other Useful Skills and Experience:
5+ years of professional chemical industry experience
Familiar with WinCC or equivalent programs
Familiar with NFPA 30 standard, OSHA regulations, Process Safety Management, EPA and SEVESO experience
Knowledge of SAP is helpful
Familiar with Brilliant fulfillment / Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma

Responsibilities
Install, maintain, test, adjust, troubleshoot, repair, operate, and overhaul all substation apparatus such as generators, circuit breakers, transformers, electric motors, protective devices, capacitor banks, regulators, condensers, pumps, reactors, load tap changers, circuit switchers, motor-operated and manual switches, bus work, wiring, battery banks and chargers, and associated equipment at switch-yards, and substations or power plants if requested.
Perform all substation inspections and documentation activities that accompany these duties for all substation equipment.
Install and maintain station service auto transfer panels, emergency generator instrumentation and controls. Assist in the installation of protective relaying or metering equipment. Install conduit, and pull wire or cable as necessary.
Use special equipment to test, maintain, or troubleshoot apparatus such as take oil samples (DGA and quality), Hydran, oil processing, power factor testing, ground grid, TTR, high pot, breaker timing, infrared camera, etc.
Work from blueprints, instruction manuals, schematics, and manufacturer's bulletins, to install, layout, repair, and/or maintain all electrical or mechanical systems as it pertains to apparatus equipment.
Perform welding and operate shop equipment such as, drill presses, grinders, saws, and torches in the repair of, manufacture, or maintenance of equipment and apparatus
Install, maintain and repair lighting, security systems, air conditioning, and heating systems. Maintain emergency power units when requested
Operate service, boom, bucket trucks, and cranes. Tow oil, gas, and vacuum trailers, and other mobile equipment used in the maintenance, overhaul, and operation of plants, substations, and switchyards
Perform switching orders for System (Main Grid Ops) or Region Dispatchers, for the transmission and distribution group or the substation group to effect getting clearances and assurances to work on or maintain substation apparatus
Prepare reports and maintain records, such as work orders - notifications, mileage, timesheets, weekly activity, overhaul records and reports, inspections, equipment maintenance records.
Use high voltage proximity meters, high voltage amprobes, cordless phasing sets or power factor sets. Open or close cutout devices for station service transformers or similar equipment. Lift or apply hot tips as necessary to accomplish this work on station service transformers or station cap banks.
Physical requirements may include working in confined spaces and in elevated work areas such as heights from ladders, structures, scaffolds, buckets and boom trucks.

Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems, plant, pipeline, and compressor instrument and electrical equipment components with all job duties and responsibilities executed in a reliable and efficient manner while in compliance with the Partnership's procedures and regulatory requirements.
Install, diagnose, and maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments, electrical distribution systems, motor control gear, and associated equipment software
Install, diagnose, and maintain PLC's or DCS systems & process or safety controls
Read and interpret manuals, policies, engineering standards, regulations, drawings, and schematics, including electrical, pneumatic, and P&ID's
Test, calibrate, and document plant and compressor station control and safety devices per DOT 192, DOT 193, DOT 195, or applicable PSM 1910 requirements and ensure frequencies of required preventative maintenance tasks are kept current
Participate in call-out/on-call requirements
Actively participate in partnership safety programs and initiatives
Perform specialized technical skills (i.e. develop complex design projects, cost estimates, evaluate electrical systems, build and maintain ESD systems, maintain gas turbine or skid unit control systems)
Provide work direction, oversight, and inspect other work provided by third-party contractors
Provide mentoring and oversight to less qualified employees
Provide accurate written and electronic reporting
Comply with partnership safety policies and procedures
Perform energy isolation lockout/tagout procedures (LOTO)
Required Education:
* High school diploma or GED
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
Level C requires a minimum of 0 - 2 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience
Level B requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience
Level A requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience
Required Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving record
Ability to maintain motor controls, relay logic, RTU's, I&E associated end-devices
Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Outlook and Word
Experience using software to troubleshoot, design, or configure control solutions specific to In Touch Wonderware or Factory Talk, Allen Bradley RSLogix, or Delta V
Extensive knowledge of DOT 192 DOT 193, and DOT 195, as it pertains to required testing and documentation for plants, compressor stations, pipelines, and/or facilities as required
Demonstrated understanding of the National Electric Code and OSHA 1910 as it relates to electrical systems
Preferred Qualifications:
State Electrical License
Associate degree in Instrumentation
Related software and system certifications (i.e. Factory Talk, Delta V, etc.)

Job Description
Position Purpose:
This position provides specialized transportation and disposal services to our clients. Responsibilities include manifesting, packaging, spill response, labeling, loading/unloading, coordinating transportation, and sampling/profiling material while adhering to state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Primary Duties /Responsibilities:
* Sample waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures.
* Manifesting, packaging, spill clean-up response and remedial activities, labeling, loading, off loading, and coordinating transportation.
* Maintain a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing/potential problems.
* Comply and enforce all compliance, health, safety, and procedures in accordance with VES-TS policies.
* Become familiar with all U. S. Department of Transportation (DOT)/Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and VES-TS regulations required in submitting paperwork to expedite disposal of hazardous waste.
* Operate and maintain all equipment in a professional manner to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
