Sam King is the Chief Executive Officer at Veracode. Having previously served as General Manager following Veracode’s acquisition by CA Technologies in April 2017 and Veracode Chief Strategy Officer prior, Ms. King is a recognized expert in application security and the emerging practice of DevSecOps.She is a sought-after speaker at industry events including RSA Conference, Gartner Security Summit and InfoSecurity and has been profiled in business publications such as the Huffington Post, CNNMoney, Financial Times, InfoSecurity Magazine and the Boston Business Journal.As a founding member of the Veracode team, she led the establishment and growth of the application security category, working with industry analysts and experts while helping grow the company at double the market average year-over-year. She joined Veracode from VeriSign, where she led the development of one of the first and most prominent security-as-a-service offerings. While at VeriSign, Ms. King held product management, product marketing, professional services and customer relationship management responsibilities.Ms. King received her Masters of Science and Engineering in Computer and Information Science from University of Pennsylvania. She earned her BS in Computer Science from University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, where she earned the prestigious Charles Babbage Award, awarded to the student with the highest academic achievement in the graduating class.Ms. King is active in community and mentorship programs, having worked with organizations such as the Boston Product Management Association, Working Mother’s Association and provides mentorship for women and young professionals inside and outside the organizations in which she has held positions. She is also a member of the board of directors of Progress Software. Outside of work, Ms. King loves to travel and spend time outdoors, skiing, climbing and hiking with her family.

Chris Wysopal (also known as Weld Pond) is an entrepreneur, computer security expert and co-founder and CTO of Veracode. He was a member of the high-profile hacker think tank the L0pht where he was a vulnerability researcher.

Financial exec with broad experience in all aspects of accounting, auditing and financial management. Direct experience with software and publicly traded companies, especially in the US and France. Interested in hi-tech companies with dynamic and rapidly evolving market spaces and multi-cultural organizations.

Pete Harteveld is Chief Revenue Officer. He leads Veracode’s global field sales organization. With more than 20 years of experience working across sales, operations, strategy and business development roles, his focus has been identifying and meeting the needs of customers ranging from startups to large enterprises. Prior to joining Veracode, Harteveld led worldwide sales and business development for Compuware, a mainframe DevOps company, focused on accelerating application development and software delivery systems for Fortune 1000 companies. Prior to joining Compuware, he held leadership roles at CA Technologies and Deloitte Consulting.

Chris Eng is Chief Research Officer at Veracode. A founding member of the Veracode team, he currently leads all security research initiatives including applied research, product security, and Veracode Labs. Chris has led projects breaking, building, and defending software in a career spanning nearly two decades. In addition to research, he consults frequently with stakeholders to advance application security initiatives.

Chris is a frequent speaker and occasional review board member at premier industry conferences. Bloomberg, Fox Business, CBS, and other prominent media outlets have featured Chris in their coverage.

Prior to Veracode, Chris was technical director at Symantec (formerly @stake) and an engineer at the National Security Agency.

Chris holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California. He is an unabashed supporter of the Oxford comma and hates when you use the word “ask” as a noun.

Mark Bissell is Chief Customer Officer. He leads Veracode’s post sales strategy and customer operations, enabling customers to get the most value from their investment in Veracode. Prior to joining Veracode, Bissell spent 15 years building and driving customer-centric programs, serving thousands of companies ranging from large enterprises to small start-ups. Most recently, he served as COO of Jibe Inc. Previously, he served in several roles at SuccessFactors, scaling the business from $5 million to $340 million in annual revenue, and creating unique expertise around building long-term value across the entire SaaS customer lifecycle.

Sohail Iqbal is a distinctive cybersecurity leader and practitioner. Sohail has led to successful security practices and developed effective security programs. He has been instrumental in developing and maturing security practices as Head of Cybersecurity Operations at Dow Jones / WSJ, CISO at J2 Global, and recently Head of Information Security at CarGurus. He also served as Director for MediaISSF (Media Industry Security Sharing Forum), a CISO-led board to share common cybersecurity challenges faced by Media Industry. He has also served on the Cybersecurity Advisory Council for Rutgers University, NJ. Sohail is an active member of many security conferences and seminars, and contributes frequently to the cybersecurity community. Sohail is also an avid cricketer and has been playing for the Cricket League of NJ for the past 20 years.
