RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain accurate and up‐to‐date acceptance and rejection records and/or certifications systems as required by the applicable specifications. CALIBRATION: Perform calibration on complex multi‐function electronic measuring and test equipment. Set‐up calibration test conditions having various circuit requirements interpreting calibration procedures, specifications, manufacturer's instructions, or related documents. Ability to interpret drawings and electronic schematics. Document and evaluate historical data to determine calibration intervals. Diagnose and calibrate newly acquired complex electronic equipment. NONDESTRUCTIVE TEST: Perform daily, weekly and monthly equipment and material checks. Perform pre‐inspection and post‐inspection cleaning. Set‐up equipment and conduct tests. Interpret, evaluate and document inspection results in accordance with approved procedures. Perform complete inspections in accordance with applicable specifications, standards and other contractual documents. Operate X‐ray equipment and film processor. Select the method and technique to be used for a specific inspection. Prepare and verify the adequacy of inspection procedures. Job Requirements: Five years related inspection experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities. Knowledge of applicable military standards or specifications. Required experience in CMM operations, background in dimensioning and tolerancing per ANSI Y 14.5. The Quality Control Inspector (QA/QC) is responsible for implementing quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications, applicable regulations, and company standards. This position inspects all phases of goods, services, and operations to verify conformity with established quality health, and safety requirements. Aircraft Inspector: To ensure that MAC aircraft are maintained to the highest standard possible, while enforcing all procedures and policies established by MAC and Current Federal Aviation Regulations. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Promotes safety throughout the organization as mandated through Company policies identified by executive management. Record all results on Stamping Inspection Report Maintain “Start-Up Retains Bank” located in the Toolmaker work area. As startups are approved, one raw and one anodized sample from the Start-up will be marked with the approval date and placed in the appropriate bin to be referenced on future start ups At the beginning of each shift Stamping Q.C. Inspectors will review each press and ensure correct labels, gauge plan, part drawing and correct skid tags are being used Keep Department QC Stations and/or QC Work Areas orderly at all times. Double check to make sure proper prints, gauging and inspection plans are at each press and in the QC areas as assigned. This is an hourly, non-exempt position that will oversee all assigned production work scopes to ensure all work accomplished is done in accordance with the West Star Aviation Repair Station Manual and the Federal Aviation Regulations. This will be accomplished while working with Program Managers, Leads and Technicians. The job includes varying duties each day, but include performing work order surveillance and creating maintenance log entries for all maintenance and modifications to aircraft assigned, completing all FAA approval and return to service paperwork as required to support production and our customers, assisting Engineering personnel in assuring alterations and repairs are accomplished in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations and ensuring quality control and release of aircraft meet the West Star Aviation Repair Station Manual and FAA requirements. Essential Job Functions: Inspect work of aircraft mechanics performing maintenance, modification, or repair and overhaul of aircraft and aircraft mechanical systems to ensure compliance with Repair Station and FAA standards, procedures and regulations. Prepare and maintain detailed repair, inspection, investigation, and certification records and reports. Inspect new, repaired, or modified aircraft to identify damage or defects and to assess airworthiness and conformance to standards, using checklists, hand tools, and test instruments. Produce, examine, research and review maintenance records and flight logs to determine if service and maintenance checks and overhauls were performed at prescribed intervals. Oversee, conduct and document flight tests to test equipment, instruments, and systems under a variety of conditions in coordination with Maintenance Technicians. Ensure, document, and track the competency of persons operating, installing, and repairing aircraft equipment according to Repair Station procedures and FAA regulations. Conduct logbook research and other duties related to pre-buy activities. Release aircraft to return aircraft to service.
