Lee M. Shavel is Verisk’s chief financial officer and group president, driving the company’s financial strategy and capital management philosophy through focusing on creating long-term value and investing in the highest return opportunities. Lee also has operational oversight for Verisk’s energy and specialized markets, and financial services groups.

Since joining Verisk, Lee has modernized Verisk’s corporate financial operations, including treasury, investor relations, and capital structure. He leads the company’s relationships with debt and equity investment communities, including buy-side institutional investors and sell-side research analysts. He also works closely with Verisk businesses to develop strategic plans, acquisition strategies, and financial performance objectives. His most recent appointment as group president in 2021 strengthens the link between the company’s capital allocation discipline and business unit operations.

Before joining Verisk in 2017, Lee was Nasdaq, Inc.’s executive vice president and chief financial officer from 2011 to 2016. From 1993 to 2011, he served as managing director and Americas head of Financial Institutions Investment Banking, and in other roles at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Lee holds a BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in economics from the Wharton School.

Lee currently serves on the board of directors of FactSet Research Systems and chairs the audit committee. He also serves on the board of NJ SEEDS, an educational nonprofit. He previously served as a director and chair of the audit committee of Investment Technology Group.

Mark Anquillare is an Exec VP/COO at VERISK ANALYTICS, INC.. Mark works or has worked at Iso LLP and Prudential International Insurance Holdings Ltd and works or has worked as FELLOW at Life Management Inst. He studied at Rutgers University School of Business and University of Notre Dame.

Kathlyn Card Beckles is Verisk’s chief legal officer and corporate secretary, providing leadership for all legal aspects of the business, as well as leading corporate governance, compliance, and internal audit.

Kathy assists the company and its Board of Directors in driving Verisk’s strategy forward and pursuing all the best practices of a modern, well-run public company to maximize performance and ensure transparency.

Before joining Verisk, Kathy served as the General Counsel for Consumer Banking and Shared Services at JPMorgan Chase. Previously she led the company’s Card team, served as chief intellectual property (IP) counsel, and managed matters from IP litigation to entertainment and philanthropic sponsorships.

Her prior legal experience includes Kenyon & Kenyon, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and the Chambers of the Hon. Edward Damich of the Court of Federal Claims. Before that, Kathy honed her operational and strategic problem-solving skills in analytical chemistry and process engineering positions.

Kathy’s many awards include Trailblazer Under 40 from the National Bar Association, Corporate Counsel of the Year from the Metropolitan Black Bar Association, and Black Achiever in Industry from the YMCA.

She holds a JD with honors from The George Washington University Law School and a BS in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware.

Kathy is a board member and founder of the TEHEKA engineering scholarship at the University of Delaware and a board member of Mobilization for Justice, which offers free legal assistance to low-income New Yorkers.
