Veritable CEO and leadership

David is Veritable’s Chief Investment Officer and a member of the Executive Committee and the Operating Committee. As the Chair of its Investment Committee, he sits at the intersection of the firm’s client-facing, research, operating and portfolio management teams. He graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Economics and a concentration in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s Management and Technology program.

As Veritable’s Chief Operating Officer he has direct responsibility for the firm’s dozen investment teams and a variety of department heads. His tour as a Lieutenant on the USS Frank Cable and his MBA from Cornell University make him well suited to Chair the firm’s Operating Committee and to participate in its five member Executive Committee.

John has had a lengthy career in the investment business. He started in private client services at Goldman Sachs after business school and then moved to Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He was recruited into management at Hirtle Callaghan, an advisor to institutional and individual investors and he later assumed leadership roles in the wealth management businesses of Bear Stearns and U.S. Trust before coming to Veritable in 2005.

Vanessa is Veritable’s Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Operating Committee. She is a graduate in Business Administration from the University of Delaware and a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She was recruited to Veritable in 2005 from the accounting and tax services department of Rothstein, Kass and Company (now KPMG), one of the top hedge fund partnership accounting practices in the country.
