The Field Service Technician will be responsible to assemble, install and repair Veritas SmartDoors . Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of electrical wiring/troubleshooting, computer skills, and hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing motors would be beneficial for this position. The candidate needs to be willing to learn how to build a Veritas SmartDoor . Must be able to communicate well, both verbally and written, for interactions with the client and for writing service repair reports. Travel will be required, up to 80%, domestically and possibly internationally if necessary.
ACTIVITY - SmartDoor Build / Harleysville FactoryTime Allocation: ~ 35%
Assemble, stage, set up, and test SmartDoors at Harleysville factory.
Crate door components for transportation according to defined SOP.
Load crates onto trucks for delivery to job site.
Unload trucks as product is delivered to Veritas.
Pick-up parts from local vendors as needed.
Unpack delivered supplies and log into inventory, as needed.
Understand the features and benefits of all door products, and how to communicate to all levels.
ACTIVITY - SmartDoor Client Install & ServiceTime Allocation: ~ 55%
Travel to customer sites for SmartDoor installation.
Travel to customer sites to install finishes on installed doors.
Represent Veritas positively and professionally at all times while traveling for Veritas.
Provide customer service via telephone and remote sessions for initial troubleshooting and diagnostics of shielded doors.
Travel to customer locations to provide onsite diagnostics and servicing of shielded doors. This will include accessing the area above the door for servicing.
Travel to customer sites to provide regularly scheduled preventative maintenance.
Travel to customer sites to provide SmartDoor training for GC's, subcontractors, medical staff and maintenance personnel.
Provide feedback from service visits that enables continuous improvement of the SmartDoor product line.
Serve as brand ambassador of Veritas; Create and develop excellent relationships with key contacts at customer locations to learn how Veritas can better serve their needs with our product, training and support.

Required Skills & Physical Demands
Ideal candidate will have either a two-year associate's degree in Electro-mechanical technology, or vocational training in electronics and mechanical systems, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of mechanical assemblies, servo motors, PLC logic, embedded computers, gears, bearings, linear drives, electronics and mechanical systems, internet connectivity.
Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering drawings.
Prior field service experience of sophisticated computer-controlled equipment is desired.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or part of a team.
Strong time management and prioritization skills; ability to organize, multi-task and work under pressure; strong attention to detail.
