I was most often given the freedom to do my job without being micromanaged. Pay and benefits were outstanding.
A few years before the Covid pandemic the business became a very "reactionary" environment, chasing stock price. This to me said that upper management had "lost their way" so to speak. It became no fun to work there.
Vacation and time away were generous. But you had to find time to take it.
The team I was on was very close and all did their part.
Management changed and is heading in the wrong direction.
Verizon discounts.
Pay and benefits
Surrounded by incompetence that's excused by management.
My paycheck always clears...
Pay and benefits and my manager was great.
I wanted to move out of the state but the company would not allow me to continue to work from home for them unless I remained in NYS.
I won a lot of great prizes.
My boss, my co-workers, and my leaders were all very approachable and accessible.
Nothing
Being able to be remote.
Work schedule is flexible and the customers are very caring and understanding of the employees.
Treated with disrespect from coworkers. Coworkers treat me as manager however I am not. I’m left to cover every shift or I’m fired.
Work-life balance, executive leadership, open communication, focus time, open culture
Healthcare, 401k, dividends, profit sharing, and bonus
Great Leadership
Life Work Balance is not as important to leadership
Benefits the company provides
great collaboration supportive of training and education for employees
Invests in the individual contributors, but difficult for mid management to move around
health benefits
Good culture, good team atmosphere.
The politics
401k health benefits. Great mgrs
Great leadership in most cases. Some career development available
Work life balance is often off. Tendency to preach about balance but expected to basically be on call.
50% off cell phone plan
Fantastic culture and leadership
Opportunity for advance limited if you do not reside in Northeast
The work, leadership, diverse climate, benefits and retirement package.

50% off
The commute and paycheck.
The politics was awful and resulted in extremely poor leadership.
401K match
State-of-the-art equipment and professional culture
Lack of company stability since change of management as well as inopportune recent investments.
Work and personal life balance. Employees are subjected to taking earned time of. Also, their Health benefits is one of the best.
401k benefits and health benefits as well as dental and pto
Leadership. From CEO down to Vice President. Greed and lots of it. Cuts in pay and commission structure. It’s terrible. Not the place to be for post at all. That goes to the executives because after all they do all the work. They keep the clients happy. It’s a “what have you done for me today” industry.
Retirement benefits. Used to be more but be CEO and leadership movement changed that. I’ve been here 13 years. Now I hate it and looking elsewhere
Hourly pay and 401k match is great
Majority of supervisors are liars, not helpful or have knowledge about products or systems
Employees are helpful & have more knowledge on products and systems used
I like the team of individuals I work with
The communication between departments seems to always be between upper management and not the lower levels
Work/Life Balance
Team members and supervisors are awesome
It’s all about numbers
All there benefits are great
The pay
Micromanagement, management really doesn't care about employees anymore just avoiding a lawsuit. Commissions getting lower while profits are getting higher. People are just headcount now. They want everything online
Medical
Excellent pay and benefits
Terrible leadership in the past 2 years. Not enough room for growth.
The amount of vacation time I have.
Good work life balance. Lots of potential to make money
Micromanagement, leadership
50% off wireless service and work life balance
Working at the biggest cell phone company in the country was very rewarding, and educational. I have been in customer service my whole career, and working at Verizon Wireless helped me hone my customer service skills. I was on the highest ranked customer service team in the company for almost 6 years of my 6.5 year career at Verizon Wireless. I appreciated that they gave me the tools and trust to take "High Value" customer calls.
People, credo, amazing benefits and great pay! Overall my experience with the company was really good, but poor upper management made my work life balance pretty much 0 and my leader was never around to assist. More and more Verizon is weeding out the bad employees and bring in new talent hopefully this helps eliminate these negative events from happening.
Some members of upper management are still stuck on the old ways and therefore made it hard to enjoy your job.
