Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Making necessary preparations for splicing, rearranging and termination of cable conductors. You'll perform splicing operations in connection with the installation, rearrangement and repair of outside plant facilities.
* Operating trucks and equipment needed to perform work operations in a safe manner.
* Installing, repairing, maintaining, and testing access lines for all types of equipment and technology.
* Performing construction work using designated equipment for digging holes, placing poles, laying cable/conduit in the ground and unreeling, pulling and stringing wire/cable on poles.
* Reading and interpreting engineering plans and vendor specifications.
* Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, perceiving differences in wire and cable colors, distinguishing audio tones, and moving/lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs.
* Working evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts as determined by the needs of the business.

You're a licensed HVAC professional and well-rounded in other areas of building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, and even building mechanicals. If there's a maintenance problem with our buildings, you've got it covered! Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Operating, maintaining, and repairing uninterruptible power systems including rectifiers, inverters, batteries, and their associated controls and distribution.
* Diagnosing and repairing stand-by power supplies including diesel, gasoline, oil and other types of engine alternators and their associated controls and distribution in facilities other than switching.
* Maintaining, diagnosing and repairing building electrical systems of 480 volts or less.
* Assisting outside contractors in overhaul of uninterruptible stand-by power supplies and in testing of building electrical systems.
* Diagnosing and repairing failures in environmental cooling system refrigeration components, i.e., chillers, compressors, and their associated controls, etc., with capacities up to 500 tons.
* Maintaining hardware and software, diagnosing and repairing centralized energy management control systems including adding control points, reprogramming building operations through microprocessor software changes, etc.
* Maintaining emergency engines in critical administrative locations.
* Wears appropriate safety equipment.
* Spends most of shift walking, standing, and/or climbing ladders.
* Works independently with minimum supervision.
* May be exposed to all weather conditions.
* Works in various buildings and surroundings, such as roofs, attics, basements, offices, etc.
* May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the Company.
