Hi there!
We're looking for an experienced Sr. Product Marketing Manager who will own the go-to-market strategy for Zapier MCP-the bridge that connects AI to real-world actions across 8,000 apps.
In this role, you'll work with our Product, Partnerships, and Sales teams to make Zapier MCP the most simple, secure, and scalable way to turn AI agents into active, transformative teammates. You'll be responsible for positioning Zapier MCP across the entire developer ecosystem: from individual developers building AI workflows, to enterprise teams deploying governed AI solutions, to third-party developers embedding MCP into their own applications.
This is a rare opportunity to shape a product category at the intersection of AI and automation. MCP has been accepted as the industry standard for connecting AI assistants to other systems, with support from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Microsoft.
We've seen significant weekly active user growth, and hundreds of enterprise access requests in just six months. If you want to define how millions of developers think about AI-powered automation, this is your role.

About You
You're experienced in developer product marketing. You have 8+ years of product marketing experience, with significant time marketing to developers and technical audiences. You've launched developer platforms, APIs, or infrastructure products. You understand how developers evaluate tools, how they adopt new technologies, and how to create bottom‑up adoption with top‑down enterprise sales. You've demonstrated mastery in positioning, messaging, pricing and packaging, and go‑to‑market strategy.
You're technically fluent. You can read and understand code. You know how APIs work. You can have credible conversations with engineers about technical architecture. You understand the MCP ecosystem, AI agent workflows, and the infrastructure that powers modern software. You don't need to write production code, but you can explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences with clarity and precision.
You're a strategic operator across multiple audiences. You've successfully marketed products to diverse customer segments-individual practitioners, enterprise buyers, and platform developers. You know how to craft different narratives for different personas while maintaining a cohesive brand story. You prioritize ruthlessly based on business impact and align stakeholders around a clear strategy.
You excel at cross‑functional leadership. You've partnered closely with Product, Engineering, Partnerships, and Sales teams to bring complex products to market. You build trust with technical teams by understanding their constraints. You enable sales teams to sell confidently. You coordinate across multiple workstreams simultaneously, keeping everyone aligned on goals and timelines. At IC5, you're a decision maker and thought leader, not just an executor.
You're a data‑driven storyteller. You fuse market insights, customer research, and product capabilities into compelling narratives. You use data to validate opportunities, measure impact, and iterate on strategy. You know how to position products in competitive markets and create differentiation that resonates. You're equally comfortable presenting to executives, drafting sales decks, and writing technical blog posts.
You thrive in ambiguity. You've launched products in emerging categories where playbooks don't exist. You're comfortable making decisions with incomplete information. You build frameworks and repeatable processes that others can follow. You see the opportunity in shaping a new market, not just competing in an existing one.
You mentor and elevate others. You've coached junior product marketers to level up their strategic thinking and execution. You document your work so others can learn from it. You create frameworks that scale beyond your own projects. You make your team better.
Things You'll Do
1. Own positioning and messaging across the MCP ecosystem
Define how Zapier MCP is positioned for multiple developer audiences: individual developers using Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor; enterprise customers deploying governed AI solutions; third‑party developers embedding MCP into their apps; and Zapier's 8,000 integration partners. You'll craft narratives that resonate with technical practitioners while driving business results, translating complex technical capabilities into clear value propositions.
2. Lead strategic launches with our LLM partners
Drive go‑to‑market strategy for MCP launches with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini-our key strategic partners in the AI ecosystem. You'll coordinate launch timing, messaging, and activation strategies that maximize adoption and retention. These partnerships are critical distribution channels for MCP, and you'll be responsible for ensuring Zapier is featured in every relevant launch moment.
3. Build enterprise readiness and sales enablement
Transform MCP from a developer tool into an enterprise‑grade product that sales teams can confidently sell. You'll define the enterprise value proposition, create sales narratives around security and governance, develop competitive positioning, help account executives close deals, and drive ARR directly.
4. Drive pricing and monetization strategy
Own the pricing strategy for MCP across customer segments. You'll analyze usage patterns, assess willingness to pay across developer personas, define packaging that aligns price with value, and partner with Product and Finance to set the monetization roadmap. This includes determining how embedded MCP supports task sponsorship and how we commercialize developer platform access.
5. Scale go‑to‑market for Embedded MCP
Define and execute the GTM strategy for third‑party developers who want to embed MCP into their applications. You'll create positioning for "Powered by Zapier" in the AI context, build self‑serve onboarding experiences, develop developer marketing campaigns, and establish success metrics. This workstream has the potential to unlock entirely new distribution channels.
6. Build developer community and technical storytelling
Establish Zapier as a thought leader in the AI agent and MCP ecosystem. You'll identify speaking opportunities at developer conferences, create technical content that showcases MCP capabilities, engage developer communities, and build case studies that inspire adoption. Your work will make Zapier synonymous with how AI does work.
