The Construction Application Specialist will need an intimate understanding of civil construction processes and a strong knowledge of construction principles and how Trimble solutions apply to those principles. Solution Application Specialists are the technical experts for all Trimble Construction solutions.

Strong aptitude in construction and/or survey practices
Listens to dealers and customers about their needs and provides valuable “voice of customer” back to the Business Area for future development considerations
Is responsible for identifying technical gaps in the distribution channel and creating a plan to address

Frequency of escalated support cases being submitted will reduce as dealer knowledge is increased
Beta process is shortened due to deep engagement by the Solution Application Specialist team and the dealer
The daily tasks become more proactive and less reactive. Current SAE's managers spend a lot of time post sales supporting the dealers on installation and setup and oftentimes in troubleshooting. The role should be preparing the dealers to be more self sufficient so that TFS managers can assist at the sales phase
Create a “Dealer Technical Staff Report Card” for each dealer in the Field Application Specialists territory. This scorecard will grade the dealer on their capabilities to sell and support the 4 main buckets of Trimble solutions: Earthmoving, Off Machine, Specialty Construction and Software.
