This is an entry-level position in the roasting team here at our HQ. As a production roaster, you will work alongside a fantastic team of roasters and the Verve Coffee Department crafting the future of coffee! This job will be a full-time position. Responsibilities: Daily coffee roasting to meet demands of production reports Quality Check loading each batch before roast begins Quality Check post roast for each batch Loring roasting experience Perform weekly maintenance and cleaning of roasting equipment Learn to participate in and run Quality Control Cuppings to ensure the consistency of the product and to identify coffee defects Sample roasting Accurate data entry using software including Cropster, Excel, and Google Docs Implement green bean receiving, loading, and staging systems Collaborate and communicate with other departments, such as RTD and packaging to ensure they can complete their projects on time Good organizational, time management, problem-solving, interpersonal and analytical skills Daily documented cleaning of roasting machinery and work area following GMP's ( Good Manufacturing Practices) Operate forklifts to move equipment and supplies. Contribute to a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with customers, suppliers, and co-workers Knowledge of warehouse safety and fire prevention. Other projects and duties as assigned. Qualifications: ● Valid California Driver's License Understanding of mechanical principles with the ability to read and assimilate information from technical manuals, system operations diagrams, and schematic drawings. ● Must be flexible to schedule changes in order to meet the demands of a growing and dynamic production schedule.
