Machine operator will be working in our Columbus Ice Cream packaging equipment plant. This facility employs 30+ union team members. This plant is 125k sq.ft, operates with four work centers and possess a strong team oriented culture. Attached to the plant is a Weston Foods corporate office that supports Supply Chain and Transportation. Join our Interbake Foods facility in Columbus, OH. The Columbus site provides novelty-manufacturing systems to dairy processors in North America. Our systems include filling machinery, ice cream cones, ice cream sandwich wafers, push-up tubes, cups and containers. A Machine Operator is expected to know how his/her equipment operates and be able to identify and repair simple mechanical problems like stalls or jams. Job Description The Sanding and Robot Operator - 3rd Shift position sets up, operates and maintains multiple robotic sanding cells as trained and instructed to meet or exceed defined production targets. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned) Operates multiple robotic sanding cells with the loading and unloading of helmets to maximize robot time sanding while also ensuring quality. Identify helmet models to be sanded and correctly set the machine fixturing to ensure quality sanding. Load and unload helmets from the fixturing proplerly. Organize and maintain the machine fixturing so that they can be easily found as needed. Operate the computer controls of each cell to select the proper program for the paint color being sanded. Load the robot sanding tool as needed with the proper sand paper grit per the program running. Change the interface pads and backup pads on each cell running as needed to maintain quality sanding. Identify and communicate issues quickly to the GrayMatter Team using the Hot Line and the Team Viewer communication tool. Communicate issues immediately to Team Leader and Supervisor. Observes all safety rules and regulations. Exercises care and good judgment at all times to prevent accidents and injuries. Adheres to all company policies, procedures, rules, and BRG Code of Conduct. Practices good housekeeping by keeping work cells clean and organized. Performs other duties and tasks as assigned. Technicians conduct the day-to-day assignments and tasks of the cannabis production cycle, including packaging, and labeling of cannabis for our customer. Lab: Learns the extraction processes to facilitate and drive distillate and concentrate production. The technician will perform a broad range of duties related to day-to-day operations and production of oil. That includes preparation and extraction of plant material, the preparation of solutions, supplies, materials, and equipment, cleaning & maintenance of equipment and facilities proper and safe use of equipment and materials. Kitchen: Responsible for having the basic knowledge of all daily operations in an edible and cannabis infused kitchen. Assisting in the preparing food items and other culinary activities as directed by the kitchen manager. Performing routine cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and operating all equipment safely in its intended manner. Duties and Responsibilities Packaging: Operating and maintaining kitchen and packaging systems/equipment: monitoring, calibrating, running, and troubleshooting systems; stocking and handling production inputs and supplies; sanitizing and cleaning production areas, kitchen workspaces and tools. Ensure daily QA/QC compliance with policies and procedures including but not limited to, state compliance, security protocols, and access protocols.
