Key Responsibilities Support veterinarians and credentialed technicians in delivering high-quality emergency and critical care Provide exceptional client service through clear communication, education, and compassion Perform diagnostic procedures including radiographs, urinalysis, bloodwork, fecals, and cytology Administer medications via IV, SQ, IM, and PO routes Place and maintain intravenous catheters Assist with sedated or anesthetized procedures, including wound and laceration repair Monitor and support hospitalized patients, ensuring comfort and safety Accurately dispense medications as directed Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment and exam areas Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience required Emergency or specialty hospital experience strongly preferred High School Diploma or equivalent required Completion of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Tennessee preferred but not required for assistants Strong technical, organizational, and multitasking skills Excellent communication and client-service skills Positive attitude, strong work ethic, emotional resilience, and a passion for emergency medicine Desire to learn, grow, and be part of a collaborative team Compensation & BenefitsWe believe in rewarding your expertise and supporting your long-term success-personally, professionally, and financially.
