Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Follow digital treatment plans prescribed by DVM Safe and effective patient handling and restraint Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines Competency in emergency and surgical care - including IV catheter placement Professional, compassionate communication with clients and staff. Obtain quality lab samples via venipuncture, cystocentesis, fecal collection, etc. Perform in-hospital laboratory diagnostics including, urinalysis, cytologies, etc. Process lab samples utilizing in-hospital laboratory equipment Use low stress patient handling techniques Perform diagnostic radiographs Administer injections, medications, nursing care as directed by a veterinarian Administer sedation for minor procedures Administer and monitor general anesthesia, if required Maintain accurate, complete digital medical records Maintain a clean work environment to include following any infectious disease protocols, handling medical/biomedical, and infectious waste appropriately Your talent and skill are certainly essential to your success in this role.
