Position Overview
* The Kennel Assistant supports and adds value to an efficient organization dedicated to quality care and exceptional service. This position supports veterinarians and technicians in their daily tasks by cleaning and maintaining equipment; feeding, exercising, restraining and handling pets.
Key Responsibilities
* Employees should be able to communicate in a professional manner with clients, including outstanding phone and computer skills.
* Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: personal attention to our pet guests, feeding and cleaning guests and daily cleaning and maintenance of the kennels and grounds.
* Baths, dog walking and hikes are also a part of the employee's daily routine.
Qualifications (Required)
* High school diploma or GED
* Must be flexible with scheduling and able to work weekends.
* Some tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work, usually involving lifting or carrying moderately heavy animals (up to 50 pounds)

All Valley Animal Care Center is looking for a Part-time, Overnight Shift ER Veterinary Technician to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.
As an ER Veterinary Technician you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Role Responsibilities:
● Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
● With each hospital function, assistveterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
● Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
● Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
● Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
● Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
● Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
● Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
● Veterinary technician licensure preferred
● 2-3 years of clinical experience
● An Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred; or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

This role will require the candidate to work hand-in-hand with our Zookeepers and Animal Care Staff to ensure holistic animal health, wellness, enrichment, and experience with a variety of large Livestock animals and exotic animals. Compensation: $17.50/Hour 40 hours/week. Evaluation at 6 months for increase.
Responsibilities and Duties
Complete comprehensive health checks on every animal using standardized criteria and documentation.
·Keep up-to-date animal health records
Perform basic animal maintenance tasks such as grooming, feeding, training, first aid
dietary planning, hoof maintenance, ect.
· Effectively answer customer questions related to animals on exhibit.
· Provide regular, varying, enrichment activities for resident animals.
· Demonstrate safe handling practices in day-to-day activities.
· Coordinate health-care efforts for animals under veterinary care
· Research and learn about species under your care
· Collaborate with co-workers to create and implement care plans for all animals.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
· Veterinary Tech Certification
