Work with ICU technicians in setting up patient beds for in-patients.
Assisting technicians with obtaining patient medical histories.
Obtaining patient vital parameters (i.e. temperature, pulse rate, respiratory rate).
For certain specialty departments, assist with patient drop-off, hospital admission, and hospital discharge, including review of patient discharge instructions and medication and follow-up requirements.
Assist specialty technicians with daily appointment flow.
Stock supplies and instruments (i.e. catheters, scrub, syringes, IV fluid bags, fluid lines, bandage material, etc.).
General maintenance and cleaning of medical equipment (i.e. surgical instruments, endoscopes, autoclave).

The Animal Medical Center of Mid-America is looking to hire a Clinic Assistant or a Registered Vet Technician with veterinary hospital experience to work in the AAHA-accredited veterinary clinic and surgery center in Maryland Heights. Clinic Assistant:
This position plays an integral role in assisting the veterinary staff and technicians in the clinical and surgical treatment of animals in the clinic. This individual should have animal handling and restraining experience, experience in a veterinary hospital setting, be extraordinary at establishing and maintaining strong working relationships, and maintain a positive and professional public image at all times. Excellent customer service, team skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment are necessary. Must be available for shifts Monday through Saturday. Minimum starting pay is $14/hour.
Registered Vet Tech:
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual that possesses knowledge of animal health care, animal restraint techniques, and surgery preparation in addition to being detail-oriented and having excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. A commitment to client education and communication is required for this position.
Our Registered Veterinary Technician will:
Assistveterinarians in animal restraint and use of surgical equipment,
Prepare animals for treatment and/or surgery,
Maintain medical records,
Monitor anesthetic procedures,
Administer and dispense medications,
Apply splints/bandages, and
Clean/disinfect medical and surgical equipment.
The ideal candidate will be excellent at maintaining strong working relationships with HSMO coworkers and customers and maintaining a positive and professional public image at all times. This individual should have animal handling/restraining experience, be able to lift animals, and have experience in a veterinary hospital setting. Must be available for shifts Monday through Saturday. Minimum starting pay is $16/hour.
