Tasks include:
Ability to demonstrate and follow correct procedures in catheter placement, phlebotomy, medication administration, and digital radiology.
Monitoring patients and knowledge of general anesthesia.
Induction and recovery from general anesthesia.
Calculating drugs and discharge instructions.
Ability to follow and fill out treatment sheets accordingly.
Dental scaling and polishing, as well as performing dental radiographs.
Taking patient history, reviewing care plans and records, completing laboratory tests and studies, and diagnostic imaging.
Care for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications, drugs, and vaccines, and bandaging and wrapping wounds.
Supporting patient examinations and operations by assembling required supplies and instruments, securing and bringing patients to examination rooms, and restraining patients.
Filling prescriptions and administering medications, including proper documentation, logging and security of controlled drugs.
Maintaining a safe, secure, healthy and humane environment by following documented standards and procedures in compliance with applicable legal regulations.
Maintaining medical records by documenting patients' conditions, reactions, and changes; updating database in an accurate and timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education, and/or experience.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience with veterinary appointments and surgical experience performing above duties.
Able to perform moderately physically demanding work, that requires a lot of lifting (up to 50 pounds), cleaning, and constant motion.
Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases, and unpleasant odors.
NOTE: Hourly wage dependent on experience.

Position Overview
The Veterinary Technician supports hospital operations by providing dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service to our patients and clients. Maintain inventory, place orders for needed supplies, verify, and maintain receipts.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional journals.
Release pets to their owners as directed; ensure that every animal released is clean and properly groomed before their release.
Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or practice.
Schedule: Rotating shifts, including day and evening hours, occasional weekends, and potential overnight shifts.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Skilled in venipuncture, patient restraint, in-house laboratory equipment, basic drug calculations, and patient monitoring.
Anesthesia experience, IV catheter placement, surgical nursing, and/or critical care/emergency nursing experience preferred
Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or the Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT) preferred or as required by State.

Position Purpose:
The purpose of this position inherently involves providing excellent medical care to our Vetco Total Care full-service hospital patients and phenomenal customer care to their owners. Essential Job Functions
The incumbent must be able to perform all the following duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:
* Greet clients and patients arriving for appointments and escort them into an exam room, obtain weight and vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations) and record the electronic medical record. VeterinaryAssistants will collect thorough patient histories and document the patient visit in the EMRs.
* Assist doctors with appointments (routine and emergency), surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia, under supervision from the veterinarian credentialed veterinary technician, , HOM and HLOD.
* Perform patient restraint, obtain and process laboratory samples, handle and dispense medications at the direction of the veterinarian and help maintain the electronic medical record.
* Schedule appointments, provide client education, relay test results to doctor and clients, and maintain and update client/patient records.
* Help prepare patients for surgical and dental procedures and assist doctor and/or veterinary technician in anesthetizing patients. Under supervision of the veterinarian and/or veterinary technician, assistants will maintain patients safely under anesthesia while monitoring vital parameters, help monitor patients during recovery and prepare them for hospital discharge or transfer to an overnight care facility.
* Under supervision of the veterinarian and/or veterinary technician, perform in-hospital treatments for sick patients including giving injectable and oral medications as well as intravenous fluid therapy; keep patients clean, watered, and fed (when indicated and directed by doctor), safely walk canine patients when necessary for elimination.
* Under direction of the HOM/HLOD, assist in the training of new staff members and general dissemination of knowledge as required.
* Keep hospital environment neat and clean; perform regular cleaning of environment based on necessity as well as based on a pre-determined maintenance schedule.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
* Perform additional duties as assigned
* Provide backup phone and front desk support as needed
Nature of Supervision
In all activities related to the care of individual patients, the incumbent will take direct supervision from the veterinarians as well as the Veterinary Technician. For purposes of overall supervision, the incumbent takes direction from the HOM/HLOD or from the supervising technician for the shift.
Planning and Problem Solving
Like all team members, the VeterinaryAssistant plays a crucial role in ensuring that day-to-day operation of the hospital is efficient and provides an optimal experience for our patients and clients.

From an overall hospital organizational standpoint, this position in critical to ensuring that we have a cohesive, well-trained, and motivated technical team. Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no immediate supervisory duties.
Education/Experience
* Preferred to have at least 1-year previous experience working in veterinary practice or sufficient relatable animal care experience to ensure excellent performance at the above-listed skills
* Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must be compassionate and sympathetic, and be able to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor during emotional and stressful situations
* Must have telephone and computer skills
* Must be a team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments, offer creative ideas, and accept change
Work Environment:
The majority of job duties are conducted in the Veterinary Hospital. Position requires bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 30 pounds, as necessary) and standing for long periods of time. A large amount of this partner's time will be spent in direct contact with clients and their pets.

About the Role:
The Area Lead Nurse will be a dynamic and influential nurse leader within our clinics. Their responsibilities will involve guiding and inspiring our support team members through various developmental activities. As a partner of the clinic leadership team, they will directly assist in clinic performance and health, ensuring optimal patient care, medical quality standards, and operational efficiency.
This role will serve as a leader and a teacher, actively participating in developing and administering initiatives and training programs for the clinic and the broader company audience. As an advocate, they will ensure that our support team members have a voice in clinic leadership discussions.
Above all, their role as nurses remains paramount, maintaining high-quality patient care and leading by example.
This role will be 100% In clinic 16 shifts per 4-week block:
* 12 shifts dedicated to home clinic per 4-week block
* 4 shifts per four-week block in assigned training clinic site
Core Clinical LVT Responsibilities:
* Help veterinarians administer anesthetics; prepare patients for surgery and dental procedures; monitor patients throughout surgery and recovery; assist in surgery and dental procedures; administer fluids; perform support therapy to patients in surgery and post-op.
* Help the veterinarian treat patients and assist in medical or surgical procedures such as irrigating wounds, medication administration, and bandaging.
* Perform clinical laboratory procedures. Run in-house diagnostics as required or prepare samples for shipment to the laboratory. Maintain Idexx lab logs.
* Take radiographs using a hands-free method.
* Keep patients clean and dry at all times, keeping cages and hospital environments clean and scent-free.
* Admit and discharge patients on the doctor's orders, being especially careful to ensure that patients being discharged are well-groomed and alert with normal vital parameters.
* Answer client questions one-on-one pertaining to various aspects of animal care up to, but not including, controversial items where appropriate or beyond skill level, consult clinic veterinarian.
* Prepare and administer or dispense medications in accordance with veterinarian instructions. This may include controlled substances, which should be logged appropriately.
Training Responsibilities:
* Area Support-Area Lead Nurses will be assigned approximately 3 clinics in addition to their 'home' clinic, where they will be responsible for training nursing staff and upholding medical quality metrics as defined in the Patient Care Index.
* Nurse Recruitment and Hiring- Assist Clinic Managers in the hiring decision of Nurses for the clinics they oversee. Participate in local recruitment endeavors and support events organized by the recruitment marketing teams.
* Clinical Staff Onboarding- Collaborate with the clinic manager to coordinate a comprehensive onboarding program for the nursing team, ensuring smooth integration and familiarization with the organization's policies, procedures, and culture.
* New Clinic Launch- Work with clinic launch teams to support near clinic openings and train new staff in the Bond ways of working.
* Upskilling and Development- Maintain a skills checklist and development roadmap for every Nurse at assigned clinics. Review individual progression regularly and share findings with CMs/MDs to be used for performance reviews. Participate in performance reviews when necessary.
* Medical Quality- Ensure the delivery of high-quality medical care by remaining familiar with and maintaining medical protocols, conducting audits of staff and facilities, and implementing quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with the clinic CM and the Associate Director of Nursing.
* Educational Programming- Develop or source training materials and lectures to facilitate the learning and development of team members in assigned clinics through regularly scheduled events. Create and deliver CE training to encourage stretch learning opportunities and hold events with outside Nurses to support recruitment efforts.

Qualifications
* A veterinary technician certification or licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) regardless of state mandates.
* 4+ years experience as a veterinary technician.
* Previous experience in a managerial role within a veterinary clinic or similar healthcare setting is preferred.

Outpatient technicians are able to manage their time efficiently and possess good problem-solving skills. Duties will include but may not be limited to;
Provide compassionate care for pets and their people
Be knowledgeable in areas of vaccines, blood tests, fecal and urine collection
Complete specialty testing protocols such as ACTH Stim, Biles Acids, LDDST, etc.
Administer vaccines and obtain blood samples using a variety of venipuncture techniques
Safety and effectively restrain pets for team members
Assist in the taking of diagnostic, digital radiographs
Dispense medication as ordered and assist in our pharmacy
Work with electronic medical record and document professionally
Wash and sanitize cages and other equipment
Assist at the front desk as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

in the handling and restraint of all relevant species, and performing

Qualifications
