    Veterinary Technician/Assistant AMVC-Prairie Hills Animal Hospital Full-Time New state-of-the-art small animal practice is seeking a part-time veterinary technician or assistant to join our team . The successful candidate will practice high quality, compassionate patient care and have an excellent rapport with clients. Responsibilities: Greet and assist customers in a professional, friendly manner Assist in small animal preventative medicine Client education Assist in triage, surgery, and anesthetic monitoring during procedures Administer medications Venipuncture, IV catheter placement and maintenance, and laboratory work Appropriate animal restraint and handling Complete medical record keeping Limited rotating weekend duties performing treatments on hospitalized patients as needed. No on call.     Kennel Technician AMVC - Prairie Hills Animal Hospital Part time (10-25 hours per week) Purpose: A new, state-of-the-art small animal practice and full-service boarding facility is seeking a part-time Kennel Technician to join our team. This position will provide day-to-day care and maintenance of the boarding facility. Key Responsibilities Customer Service: Assist customers and communicate regularly in a professional, friendly manner. Scheduling: Schedule boarders, including managing intake and discharge procedures. Animal Care: Care for animals, including feeding, watering, and cleaning of eliminations. Medical Alert: Alert medical staff of any medical concerns regarding boarders. Enrichment: Responsible for boarder enrichment activities. Medication: Administer medications as directed. Maintenance: Keep the boarding facility clean and organized. Marketing: Assist in marketing of the boarding facility. Other Duties: Perform other duties as needed assigned by management.
