Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality veterinary care and possess excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships with our clients. You will work alongside a team of experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff and will work closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager.
Since 1957, the team at Highland Animal Hospital has provided a comprehensive range of veterinary care and luxury boarding to companion animals all over Augusta. Key Responsibilities

We are an emergency and specialty facility that recently relocated to newly constructed,12,000-square-foot building - Phase I of a 20,000-square-foot expansion project.
Our hospital includes 11 exam rooms and 4 surgical suites.
We offer CT, digital radiology, C-Arm fluoroscopy, ultrasound, flexible endoscopy, Snyder oxygen cage, multi-parameter monitors, comprehensive Idexx labs, iStat, and an expansive pharmacy.
We carry blood products and have on-call whole blood donors available when needed.

Essentials for Achieving Excellence at BluePearl:
DVM/VMD degree required.
Completion of a rotating internship in emergency (ER) medicine and critical care (ECC) preferred but not required.
Ideal candidate will have General Practice (GP) or Humane Animal Medicine practice experience.
Current license to practice veterinary medicine in this state.
Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to make rapid and accurate assessments in emergency situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate bedside manner.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
