Patty Baker Humane Society Naples' Veterinary Clinic in beautiful Naples, FL is expanding our team! We are seeking aVeterinarianto join our veterinary team on a full-time (4 or 5 days per week), year-round basis. The PBHSN Veterinary Clinic provides a full range of services to its patients, from wellness exams to dentals to specialized surgeries, and also provides the same high quality care to our shelter residents. Additionally, we operate a mobile veterinary clinic to provide low- or no-cost and high quality wellness and spay/neuter services to clients who find it difficult or impossible to access quality veterinary care. We have state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and equipment, such as a LigaSure system, CO2 surgical laser, digital dental radiography, a separate dental suite, oxygen generators, therapy laser, in-house blood and urine analyzers, and ultrasound. We strive to go above and beyond for the animals entrusted to our care.
Our clinic is open Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. No late nights required for this position. Candidates may opt to have a four day or five day schedule.

New graduates start at $110,000 annually, more experienced doctors range up to $170,000 annually

* Inoculates shelter animals for rabies in accordance with established laws and policies; performs routine examinations and interprets tests for parasitic conditions and diseases, including but not limited to fecal float analysis, skin scrapings and fungal cultures; provides heartworm treatment and injections for heartworm positive dogs while at the shelter and after adoption.
* Prepares and maintains clear, concise medical records; ensures all medical data is accurately entered into the required database within the established timeframe.
* Administers medications orally, subcutaneously, intramuscularly, and intravenously.
Minimum Qualifications
* Doctorate degree in veterinary medicine required.

Nature of Supervision:
In all activities related to the care of individual patients, the Veterinarian will take direct supervision from the Hospital Medical Leader or Area Medical Director. The Veterinarian has discretion related to decisions regarding patient care, however, it is imperative that the Veterinarian uphold the standards set forth in the Petco Veterinary SOPs. The Veterinarian should expect to receive direction and guidance based on electronic medical record review from the Hospital Medical Leader or Area Medical Director regarding patient decisions and should accept such feedback as a means to elevate patient care in the hospital.
All hospital veterinarians should work together in a collegial fashion and are expected to behave in a professional and personable manner.
Planning and Problem Solving:
Problem solving is at the heart of veterinary medicine, and it is expected that any successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills that allow expeditious diagnosis of patient problems.

This position will impact the organization by contributing to the growth of a productive practice while focusing on a high-quality standard of care. Key Responsibilities
Veterinarian's role in the Clinic is a position of leadership, trust, and respect and shall conduct themselves accordingly

Overview of UrgentVetUrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care, offering after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.
