Responsibilities include: Triage and assist with emergency examinations and treatments Administer medications, IV fluids, and therapies as directed by veterinarians Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgical and critical care procedures Perform and process diagnostic tests (radiographs, bloodwork, urinalysis, etc.) Provide compassionate nursing care for hospitalized and ICU patients Maintain accurate medical records and support clear, empathetic client communication Collaborate closely with veterinarians and team members to ensure the best patient outcomes Who We're Looking For Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred, but strong Veterinary Assistant candidates with advanced technical experience will be considered Background in surgery, anesthesia, or emergency/critical care strongly preferred Confident technical and patient-handling skills Team-oriented attitude and a calm, compassionate presence under pressure Excellent communication skills with both clients and coworkers Physical ability to lift and restrain animals and stand for extended periods
