    Beechmont Pet Hospital, located in Anderson Township, is seeking an enthusiastic person for a full-time veterinary technician. We are a full- service medical facility in Southeast Cincinnati that is committed to promoting responsible pet ownership. We provide "Quality Care at Affordable Prices". Join a team dedicated to providing outstanding veterinary care. We are expanding our hours to better serve our clients. Candidate must have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, have a solid customer service background, be an energetic self-starter, and have the ability to multi-task. Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds. Duties include: Animal handling, restraint, and husbandry. Administer IV, IM, PO and SQ medication. Perform routine radiographic procedures and venipuncture procedures. The candidate must be able to do laboratory procedures including, urinalysis, heartworm tests, and other diagnostic tests. The candidate must also be able to assist with surgery, including surgery prep, monitoring, recovery, instrument prep, sterile technique, skin closure, etc. Other technical procedures include nail trims, anal gland expression, ear cleaning, urine and fecal collection, cleaning wounds, removing sutures, changing bandages, dispensing medication, client education, and admitting and discharging hospitalized patients. The hours are 12-9 p.m. M-F and some weekends. A six- week schedule is posted in advance. High School Diploma or equivalent Base hourly rate of $15.00 - $18.00 Benefits include: Health Insurance, 401K, dental, vision, vacation and holiday pay, plus a Pet Discount after 90 days. Mental health care, life skills and job training, substance abuse services, and help finding employment and safe housing are provided. Our Street Outreach Team is also housed in the Sheakley Center. Shelter: Each young adult works with a case manager who helps the young adult develop a plan and implement it. The goal is to guide young people into safe, stable housing. Day Resource Center: A safe place for homeless teenagers and young adults to come in off the streets and get basic need items. Open every day 9:00 a.m. - 5 p.m., food, clothing, toiletries, laundry facilities, and computers are available. A registered nurse provides basic health care and first aid. Lunch is served daily. Street Outreach Team: They comb Cincinnati to help youth who are experiencing homelessness and connect them to resources.
