The Poultry Technical Services Veterinarian is an integral part of our Sales team based out of our US - Teaneck, NJ - Remote site. Position Purpose Position exists to work as part of a key account team driving demand for PAHC products into the poultry industry by providing expert technical support to customers, building strong connections, and solving problems for key influencers across the broiler, layer and turkey industries including production managers, veterinarians, nutritionists, members of senior leadership as well as the academic community. Key Responsibilities Collaborate closely with Phibro Sales Team as part of key account teams to advance revenue and earnings by providing timely, expert, technical information regarding the efficacy and value of Phibro products. Assist in transforming the creation of solutions and customer value. Work to design vaccine, medicated feed additive and nutritional specialty programs with customers that will enable them to achieve maximum performance from Phibro Products. Provide the global marketing team with accurate, credible, and current technical information that will support the achievement of commercial objectives. Assist poultry producers in the technical evaluation of production issues and then to provide logical solutions. Develop, lead, and execute field or research trials designed to promote the use of the PAHC product lines. Positively interface with industry decision makers, influencers, and key academic and scientific leaders in the US poultry industry in support of Phibro products. Attend trade shows, academic conferences, and state poultry association meetings to foster relationships and stay in tune with issues facing the industry. Keep management updated on current industry issues and trends. Must be willing to travel 50% of time. Technical Competencies Expert command of poultry health. In depth understanding of poultry production, husbandry, and processing. Demonstrated ability to design and manage meaningful field trials. Excellent understanding of current trends and issues in poultry health. Assist in an understanding of other species production, husbandry, and processing. Proficient in the MS office suite as well as other commonly used software applications within the industry, i.e., LIMS, Adobe, et al. Business Competencies Understanding of the financial drivers of success at PAHC. Recognizes the relationship between sales, marketing, operations, and finance. Understand the customer's business model and its implication on decision making and the relevance of technical information in that process. Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with both decision makers and influencers (internal and external) to promote Phibro products. Current with industry trends. Personal Competencies Self-starter who will take the initiative and will go the “extra mile” to ensure a sound outcome. Excellent communicator, listens well, and is versatile in presenting technical information to different audiences with different technical knowledge levels. Possesses a professional network including current relationships with veterinarians in the poultry industry specific to Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. High degree of personal integrity. Innovative in addressing complex problems to come up with credible solutions that drive value in the customers' mind. Location Territory encompasses mainly the broiler industry in the Mid-Atlantic region but is willing to work in layers as well. The selected candidate can live in or near a major airport within the region. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited university. Post-graduate or advanced training and/or experience in poultry health is preferred. Must hold a valid US veterinary license. Experience in the broiler, layer and turkey would be beneficial. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in at least one segment and/or a combination of segments in the US poultry industry is required.
